Working hand-in-hand as a key partner to our Chief Executive Officer, this role is the bridge between executive operational strategy and ground-level execution. Key ResponsibilitiesField Leadership & Project Execution
  • Daily Operations: Oversee day-to-day activities of the project execution team, including controls engineers, field technicians, and installers, ensuring all projects progress smoothly.

  • Project Scheduling & Labor Allocation: Manage and optimize complex, master labor schedules to balance resource capacity across multiple concurrent projects.

  • Lifecycle Management: Lead project kick-offs, progress reviews, and field checkouts to guarantee installations are completed on time, within budget, and to engineering specifications.

  • Subcontractor Management: Oversee subcontractor selection, negotiate field contracts, monitor performance, and ensure strict compliance with quality and safety standards.

Project Financials & Change Management
  • Job Costing & Profitability: Monitor real-time project financial health; track labor hours and material consumption against budgets to protect and maximize project gross margins.

  • Engineering Re-estimates: Work closely with engineering and the COO to execute timely project re-estimates and keep budgets aligned with field realities.

  • Change Order Management: Identify out-of-scope field variances, estimate labor/material impacts, and aggressively manage change order documentation and approvals.

Process Excellence & Quality Control
  • Workflow Optimization: Implement standardized processes for project documentation, startup, and turnover to improve operational efficiency and scalability.

  • Postmortem & Closeout: Lead comprehensive project postmortems and closeout meetings, documenting lessons learned to drive continuous engineering and operational improvement.

  • Trade Coordination: Serve as a key point of contact for mechanical contractors, general contractors, and electrical trades on active jobsites to resolve conflicts proactively.

Team Mentorship & Technical Training
  • Workforce Development: Provide ongoing coaching, performance management, and career development pathways for technicians and field staff.

  • Training Execution: Facilitate technical training programs to upskill internal staff on advanced Building Automation Systems (BAS), safety protocols, and Setpoint standard operating procedures.


What Weโ€™re Looking ForRequired Experience & Qualifications
  • 5โ€“8+ years of progressive experience in Building Automation Systems (BAS) controls, field installation, or mechanical project management.

  • Proven track record of managing field operations, scheduling labor, and leading technical teams (engineers, technicians, and installers).

  • Solid understanding of HVAC systems, DDC functionality, and mechanical/electrical construction drawings.

  • Strong financial acumen with hands-on experience in project job costing, tracking labor variances, and managing change orders.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage client expectations on site and coordinate effectively across construction trades.

  • An associate degree or bachelor's degree in construction management, mechanical/electrical engineering, or equivalent field experience.
