Job description

ABOUT RAIN DELAY:

Rain Delay Media is an award-winning production company powering sports' biggest athletes and creators across YouTube, podcasts and social media, including Road Trippin' with Richard Jefferson & Kendrick Perkins, Kickin' It with Deestroying and Club 30 with Henrik Lundqvist.
THE ROLE:

We are seeking a Social Media Manager to lead the multi-platform social presence for The Schultz Report and additional NFL shows and channels. This person will own the show's voice, grow its audience, and turn long-form content into engaging short-form storytelling while staying deeply plugged into the world of NFL football.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own multi-platform programming, content calendar, and content strategy across all Schultz Report channels, including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and X.
  • Grow all show channels and maintain a consistent, active presence in the show's comments — genuinely engaging with and building the community.
  • Create, develop, and own the show's tone and voice across all platforms, maintaining editorial consistency.
  • Generate and organize ideas for social content tailored for social platforms.
  • Oversee, manage, and update the show's content calendar.
  • Attend show recordings and identify standout moments to support the show's weekly publishing cadence.
  • Timestamp video content and collaborate with editors, ensuring efficient content workflows for each platform.
  • Develop workflows and outline delivery deadlines for vertical show content across social media channels.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with hosts, executives, and editing team to align storytelling with talent positioning and audience growth strategies.
  • Translate long-form podcast and video content into high-performing short-form storytelling, partnering with production and analytics teams to refine editorial strategy based on audience engagement.
  • Track and report on platform performance metrics, using data to inform content decisions and identify what's resonating with the audience.
  • Stay ahead of platform trends, algorithm shifts, and emerging formats, and proactively bring new ideas to the team.
  • Monitor NFL news, trends, and cultural moments in real time to identify timely content opportunities for the show.
  • Oversee ad placements and sponsorship integration across YouTube and social media channels.
  • Provide support in evaluating incoming ad opportunities, recommending rates based on analytics and projections.
  • Provide guidance to the sales team on brand deals and sponsorship alignments, ensuring content segments meet partner goals.
  • Support tentpole event activations (e.g., Super Bowl) by developing content that aligns with Schultz Report creative strategy.

Requirements

  • 4+ years in social media for a brand, creator, or media company — spanning both strategy and hands-on execution, ideally in sports, podcasts, or entertainment.
  • Detailed knowledge of all major social platforms and their best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A strong, distinct point of view on voice and tone.
  • A genuine love of the NFL and the game of football.
  • Experience managing content calendars and multi-platform publishing schedules.
  • Comfort working with performance data/analytics tools to guide content strategy.
  • Self-directed with strong problem-solving proficiencies.

Benefits

Rain Delay Media provides all benefits mandated by applicable state law, in all instances according to the term and conditions of applicable law and plan documents as well as any applicable Company policy. The Company does not currently provide group health or retirement benefits.
