Position Summary:The University of Dayton's Office of Diversity and Inclusion (ODI) invites applications for the position of Administrative Coordinator. Driven by Catholic and Marianist traditions, ODI develops, implements, supports, and assesses diversity, equity, and inclusion to cultivate and sustain inclusive excellence at the University of Dayton. Reporting directly to the Vice President for Diversity and Inclusion, this individual will provide key administrative and budget support for the office. This includes assisting the Vice President and ODI leadership, liaising with the campus and visitors, coordinating and tracking budgets and projects, and overseeing ODI's daily operations. This role also provides part-time administrative support to the divisions of Marketing & Communications and Strategic Enrollment Management for clerical support and data entry assignments.
Minimum Qualifications:
• High school diploma
• Minimum two years of full-time administrative and budget support experience in a professional office environment
• Experience with Microsoft Office software or Google applications
• Experience managing and tracking budgets
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and to plan and organize work in observance of deadlines
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work effectively as a cooperative member of a professional office
• Ability to promote inclusive excellence in the workplace
Preferred Qualifications:
While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:
• Associate's degree
• Demonstrated ability to engage effectively, respectfully, and professionally with multiple constituents at all levels of the university, such as faculty members, staff, administrators, students, parents of students, and guests
• Ability to manage simple data entry tasks
