Job description

Summary

The Texas Democratic Party is seeking a highly organized, strategic, and mission‑driven Deputy Executive Director to serve as the organization’s chief internal operator. This role ensures the Party’s day‑to‑day operations run smoothly, supports staff and departmental heads, and keeps cross‑departmental work on track. The Deputy Executive Director enables the Executive Director to focus on fundraising, political relationships, media, and long‑term strategy by managing internal systems, staff workflow, and organizational processes.

Responsibilities
  • Lead daily operations and internal processes to ensure timely execution across departments.
  • Manage staff performance, internal communications, and organizational culture.
  • Oversee compliance, administrative operations, and internal party business.
  • Coordinate with the DNC and manage the State Partnership Program.
  • Support strategic planning, special projects, and organizational change.
  • Act as the Executive Director’s internal proxy when needed.
  • Oversee constituent services and the Party’s intern program.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2–4 election cycles of experience.
  • Strong understanding of Texas politics.
  • Proven team leadership and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Familiarity with statewide coordinated campaigns and campaign finance reporting.
