ROLE SUMMARY

Reporting to the Head of Business Insights & Operations, the Executive Director, Data Analytics & Operations will be responsible for designing, building, and operating Zydus Therapeutics’ end-to-end data, analytics, and commercial operations ecosystem as the organization transitions into a fully commercial-stage biopharmaceutical company. This role will lead ZTI data strategy, data analytics, and business operations capabilities in support of Marketing, Field Sales, and Market Access / Payer organizations. The Executive Director will oversee the development and integration of a modern commercial technology stack (including Snowflake, Veeva Vault / CRM, omnichannel platforms, and advanced analytics tools), while ensuring strong data governance, compliance, and scalability. This position will directly manage and develop three direct reports: Director, Data Analytics & Reporting; Director, Field & Market Access Analytics; Associate Director, Operations. The Executive Director will serve as a key thought partner to Commercial, Medical, Legal/Compliance, IT, and Finance leaders and will play a critical role in shaping data driven decision making across the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Commercial Data & Technology Strategy & Execution (Build, Implement and Scale)

• Complete the buildout and execution of the core data & technology ecosystem in accordance with the vision of an agile, scalable, and integrated ecosystem. Ensure seamless integration across CRM, data warehouse, analytics, omnichannel, and reporting platforms.

• Design, implement, and manage an enterprise-grade data ecosystem, including but not limited to:

o Snowflake commercial data warehouse

o Veeva Vault Essentials: Veeva Vault CRM, Network, Open Data, as well as Link and potentially other Veeva offerings

o Omnichannel engagement and analytics platforms in concert with marketing agency of record

o Third party data integrations (claims, Rx, payer, specialty pharmacy, digital engagement, etc.)

• Partner and collaborate with IT, Finance, and external vendors to ensure architecture scalability, data quality, security, and performance.

• Lead vendor selection, contract management, and ongoing partner performance across data and analytics solutions.

Data Acquisition, Management & Governance

• Oversee data acquisition strategy and contracting across HCP, patient, payer, and field-facing datasets.

• Establish and maintain robust data governance frameworks, including:

o Master Data Management (MDM)

o Data quality standards, data governance leadership, and alignment to ensure single version of the truth

o Metadata, lineage, and documentation

o Privacy, security, and compliance (HIPAA, GDPR, company SOPs)

• Partner and collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and Privacy teams to ensure compliant data use and appropriate controls across all commercial activities. Establish and manage standard operating procedures (SOPs) and data governance policies in partnership with Legal & Compliance.

Advanced Analytics & Business Intelligence

• Lead development of advanced analytics capabilities supporting:

o HCP and account segmentation & targeting

o Patient journey, patient finding, and funnel analytics

o Omnichannel measurement and optimization

o Field force effectiveness and resource allocation (i.e., marketing mix)

o Market access, payer, and channel analytics

• Drive adoption of predictive and prescriptive analytics, including AI/ML approaches, to inform commercial strategy and execution.

• Establish standardized, executive-level KPI frameworks and dashboards to provide actionable insights to Zydus leadership.

Marketing, Field & Market Access Analytics & Operations Support

• Oversee analytics and operational support for:

o Field force effectiveness, sizing, and deployment

o Territory alignment and targeting

o Marketing performance and ROI measurement

o Market access, payer performance, and contracting analytics

• Ensure operational processes, tools, and reporting are aligned to commercial priorities and compliant with applicable regulations and codes of conduct.

People Leadership & Organizational Development

• Build, mentor, and retain a high-performing analytics and operations team of three direct reports, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration.

• Set clear goals, development plans, and performance expectations for direct reports.

• Promote data literacy and analytics adoption across commercial stakeholders.

Cross Functional Partnership & Strategic Leadership

• Act as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to leaders across Marketing, Sales, Market Access/Payer/Value, Medical Affairs, Finance, Legal & Compliance

• Support launch planning and execution activities through insights, analytics, and operational readiness.

• Champion data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement across the commercial organization.



Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree required, MBA or advanced degree preferred.

• 12-15+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech industry experience, ideally within both start-up and large biotech environments.

• Proven expertise in leading data analytics and operations for specialty or rare disease brands.

• Exceptional analytical skills with a proven ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable business insights.

• In-depth technical understanding of cloud data architecture, data warehousing, CRM technologies (e.g., Veeva Vault), analytic reporting platforms (e.g., Power BI), and other tools to fully support omnichannel promotion.

• Exhibit high capability at working collaboratively while thinking strategically.

• Deep understanding of HCP and patient-level data providers and capabilities.

• Excellent leadership and business acumen, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholder expectations.

• Proven expertise at managing multiple third-party vendors/agencies, ensuring on-time delivery of high quality work.

• Demonstrated ability to recruit, coach, and develop high-caliber talent.

• Strong understanding of U.S. pharmaceutical commercialization, compliance, and data privacy requirements.

• Demonstrated ability to lead senior leaders, manage complex vendor ecosystems, and influence cross functional stakeholders.

• Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills with the ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
