Job description

Responsibilities
  • Own the end-to-end technical direction for Growth Signals, encompassing application architecture, APIs, infrastructure, integrations, data platforms, and AI systems.
  • Define and execute a technology roadmap aligned with enterprise customer requirements, security expectations, and company growth objectives.
  • Lead the engineering and product organizations with clear ownership and accountability.
  • Establish and maintain a disciplined engineering operating model covering planning, execution, testing, release management, and post-deployment support.
  • Make architectural decisions that ensure scalability, reliability, and maintainability across distributed systems and multi-tenant SaaS environments.
  • Drive platform reliability and operational excellence, including observability, incident response, SLOs/SLAs, on-call readiness, and post-incident review processes.
  • Own secure development standards and practices, including threat modeling, identity and access controls, data protection, dependency management, and API security.
  • Lead enterprise security and compliance efforts, including SOC 2 readiness, audits, penetration testing, and customer security reviews.
  • Partner closely with Product to evaluate technical feasibility, manage tradeoffs, and sequence delivery while controlling technical debt.
  • Provide executive-level technical leadership during complex enterprise deployments, escalations, and architecture reviews.
  • Guide AI and automation initiatives (LLMs, GenAI workflows, agent frameworks) with an emphasis on reliability, evaluation, monitoring, and enterprise safety.
  • Establish strong technical documentation, architectural decision records (ADRs), and knowledge-sharing practices across teams.
  • Serve as the executive technical authority for Growth Signals with customers, partners, auditors, and senior technical candidates.

Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering, with significant ownership of production systems at scale.
  • 5+ years in senior technical leadership roles (CTO, VP Engineering, Director, or equivalent) with responsibility for architecture and delivery.
  • Strong background designing and operating modern SaaS platforms, including APIs, distributed systems, and cloud-native architectures (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Proven experience delivering secure, reliable software to enterprise customers with high availability and compliance expectations.
  • Deep understanding of software delivery discipline, including CI/CD, automated testing, release management, and operational readiness.
  • Strong security mindset with experience supporting audits, enterprise security diligence, and risk management.
  • Ability to translate complex and ambiguous business needs into clear technical strategy and execution plans.
  • Excellent communication skills with engineering teams, executive leadership, and enterprise stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience scaling technology platforms and engineering organizations in enterprise or growth-stage SaaS companies.
  • Background supporting complex enterprise implementations in regulated or high-trust environments.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML and GenAI systems, including integration patterns, evaluation frameworks, and operational monitoring.
  • Experience owning or leading SOC 2, ISO-aligned controls, or similar compliance programs.
  • Exposure to platform engineering, developer productivity tooling, or reliability engineering disciplines.
