We're looking for a Director of Communications for the CEO who brings hustle, initiative, strategic thinking, and true ownership to strengthen and expand the CEO's communications and media presence. As a mission-driven media organization with more than a decade of impact, we need someone who deeply understands conservative, education, and media landscapes, moves quickly, and gets results. The right person is proactive and scrappy. They know how to spot an opportunity, and help land meaningful coverage. They're comfortable in a fast-paced environment, can think clearly under pressure, and work well across teams to make sure CEO messaging is sharp, consistent, and aligned with our mission.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and prioritize media opportunities for the CEO, coordinating with Vice President of Outreach on press, producers, and internal stakeholders
  • Develop and oversee alongside Vice President of Outreach the CEO's public voice and narrative across media appearances, speeches, op-eds, social platforms, and internal communications
  • Draft and edit speeches, talking points, statements, and written content on behalf of the CEO
  • Help Vice President of Outreach prepare the CEO for high-stakes media engagements, including interviews, debates, panels, and crisis response including research
  • Monitor news cycles and cultural conversations to identify opportunities for rapid response and proactive storytelling
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Marketing, Creative, Social Media, Public Relations, and Production, to ensure cohesive messaging across all platforms
  • Develop crisis communications strategies and messaging when necessary
  • Track media coverage, evaluate campaign performance, and provide regular reporting on communications efforts and outcomes
  • Stay informed on political, cultural, and media trends relevant to PragerU's mission and audience

Salary Range: The salary target for this role is $100,000 - $160,000+. Final offer amounts depend on multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and most recent market data. This position is eligible for an annual bonus based on personal and company performance, in addition to our robust benefits package.
