Description
The primary responsibility of this position is to provide executive-level administrative support to the People and Culture Executive Leaders in North America. This position will partner with other administrative assistants throughout the company in a professional and collaborative relationship ensuring seamless support to both internal and external customers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform all work in compliance with company policy and within the guidelines of the bioMerieux Quality System.
  • Provides confidential administrative support to four HR responsible for North America and several other global functions including R&D, Communications Legal, and Manufacturing.
  • Works closely and coordinate with Executives to prepare for key meetings, create presentations, content and communications
  • Calendar management, scheduling and arranging meetings in a dynamic and agile manner is a critical and key component of success in this role.
  • Assesses competing priorities and makes balanced judgments based on the needs of the senior managers. Proactively communicates all relevant issues and potential conflicts.

  • Presents a professional and positive attitude of the company recognizing that employees are the foundation of our success.
  • Maintains a professional demeanor and office decorum. Performs duties with integrity and a high degree of ethics.
  • Supports the onboarding of People & Culture team members. This includes but is not limited to ordering equipment, submitting access requests and preparing office space with HR and Facilities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Additional Information:
  1. The People & Culture team of North America has about 80 team members across the US and Canada
  2. The position will support the HR Executives for North America, Legal, R&D and Medical Office, Culture & Transformation, Manufacturing and Corporate Communication. This role may also provide some level of support to the next level of management inclusive of VPs and Sr. Director levels.

Education & Experience:
  • HS diploma or GED required
  • 5 plus years increasing levels of administrative assistance experience
  • Strong Outlook and calendar management skill is critical
  • Experience supporting Executives in Human Resources of a large global company highly preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and writing skills to enhance interactions with customers, employees, management and supervisor
  • Ability to collaborate with internal and external Executive Assistants to coordinate calendars and meetings effectively
  • Adaptable and flexible to adjust to changing demands, timelines, and deliverables
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment, prioritize, and take action to manage the needs of a group of senior managers who are often out of the office
  • Strong team orientation to work with peers and support the company culture
  • Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) to enhance productivity, efficiency, communication, and decision making
  • Experience with Egencia and Concur preferred

The estimated wage range for this role based in North Carolina is between $28.60 - 42.80. This role is eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and individual performance per bioMerieux's bonus program. This range may differ from ranges offered for similar positions elsewhere in the country given differences in cost of living. Actual compensation within this range is determined based on the successful candidate's experience and will be presented in writing at the time of the offer.
