What is an executive case manager?

An Executive Case Manager is a professional responsible for overseeing and coordinating comprehensive care plans for high-level clients, such as executives or VIPs, within healthcare, legal, or corporate settings. They ensure clients receive personalized services by liaising between clients, service providers, and organizations to address complex needs efficiently. Their duties often include assessment, planning, facilitation, advocacy, and monitoring of services to achieve the best possible outcomes for their clients.

What skills and qualifications are needed to thrive as an executive case manager?

To thrive as an Executive Case Manager, you need a thorough understanding of case management principles, healthcare regulations, and typically a bachelor’s or master’s degree in nursing, social work, or a related field. Outstanding communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills help you coordinate complex care plans and advocate for clients. These competencies ensure effective resource allocation, improved outcomes, and high client satisfaction in challenging healthcare environments.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Mathematics, or related discipline.
  • Progressive experience in financial planning and analysis in Consumer Lending, Home Equity, Mortgage finance or capital markets, or related analytical functions.
  • Advanced financial modeling and forecasting expertise.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with reporting and analytics platforms.
