Senior Account Executive, Beauty & Lifestyle

Sunshine Sachs Morgan & Lylis

Full-time

Job description

Sunshine Sachs Morgan & Lylis is a leading global communications agency built to navigate the complexities of a hyper-connected world. We represent the icons and innovators shaping culture—from global heritage corporations and high-growth tech startups to the non-profits, creative legends, and visionary founders who define the global discourse.

Our expertise spans the full cultural spectrum. We operate at the intersection of entertainment, social impact, corporate reputation, and consumer lifestyle, executing seamlessly across traditional media, social-first outlets, brand partnerships, and influencer ecosystems. Whether we are navigating complex crisis management, elevating advocacy campaigns, or launching global consumer brands, we are storytellers at our core.

You may notice our digital presence is purposefully understated. While our clients are global household names, we believe the best work happens when the spotlight stays firmly on those we represent. We fly under the radar by design - preferring to let our campaigns, and our results, speak for themselves.

If you're driven, intentional, and ready to do good, we're ready for you!

We are looking for a strategic, high-energy Senior Account Executive to join our Lifestyle team. You’ve been in the trenches for 4–5 years and have built a reputation for navigating the beauty, wellness, and pop culture landscapes with ease.

You are a media machine who understands the complexity of the 2026 landscape: where a brand’s narrative must seamlessly travel from a long-form feature in the NYT Styles section to a social-first TikTok trend, and from high-conversion affiliate commerce to the center of the influencer ecosystem. You possess an informed point of view on the cultural shifts driving the industry—from the nuance of Gen Z beauty standards to the digital-first evolution of the DTC and "creator-led" retail landscapes.
The Role:
  • Narrative Lead: Transition from supporting to leading media outreach. You leverage an established network to secure high-impact features, product reviews, and must-have placements across lifestyle, beauty, and national consumer outlets.
  • Integrated Strategy Execution: Support the development and own the execution of 360-degree campaigns. You know how to bridge the gap between a traditional desk-side briefing and a digital-first influencer activation.
  • Creator & Content Storytelling: Have a POV on the right creator partners for both earned and paid opportunities. You understand a social-first approach to storytelling. You contribute to the creation of compelling content that lives beyond the press release, ensuring our clients’ brand voices are consistent and engaging across all platforms.
  • Brand Partnerships: Proactively identify and brainstorm creative brand-to-brand collaborations and strategic partnerships that insert our clients into new cultural conversations and drive brand affinity.
  • Content Command: Produce sophisticated, client-ready materials including brand messaging, creative pitches, blog content, and executive briefing notes. You are a fast, persuasive writer who supports the Oxford Comma.
  • High EQ: You possess high EQ and situational awareness. You have the executive presence to hold your own in client meetings while remaining a collaborative partner to your team.
  • Account Stewardship: Own the day-to-day workstreams for a roster of 4–6 clients. You are the glue of the account—ensuring deliverables are met, junior staff is on track, and senior management is briefed.
  • Mentorship in Action: You are a primary mentor to junior staff. You take genuine pride in teaching them the how and why of lifestyle PR—from building the perfect media list to managing a complex budget tracker.
  • Proactive Innovation: Regularly bring unprompted opportunities to the table—from key media introductions to out-of-the-box ideas that show our value as strategic partners.
  • Relationship Driven: You understand that we are a people business. You lead by example in how you treat your co-workers, clients, and the media—prioritizing trust and integrity in every interaction.
Who You Are:
  • The Lifestyle Hybrid: 4–5 years of PR experience with a focus on consumer brands. While beauty is your home base, you are eager to touch health, wellness, and niche industries like tech or experiential museums.
  • Strategic & Decisive: You bring new ideas to the table unprompted and have the accountability to own your projects from concept to completion.
  • Exceptionally Organized: You are a master of the details and can manage multiple projects simultaneously without letting a single task slip through the cracks.
  • An Entrepreneurial Spirit: You don't stay in your lane. You are curious about B2B thought leadership, documentaries, and the why behind consumer behavior.
  • Driven to Over-Deliver: You take pride in exceeding expectations and have an innate desire to be part of something good.
  • Flexible: Ready to work select evenings/weekends and travel to bring our clients’ biggest moments to life.
Nice-to-Haves
  • B2B Coup: Previous experience in B2B communications or executive thought leadership within the lifestyle space.
  • The Generalist Lens: A passion for industries beyond beauty—we love to see facets of niche industries where they never existed before.
Benefits x Perks
We go well beyond the benefits that you’re looking for like medical, dental, and vision plans, 401(k) with matching, annual merit-based bonuses, PTO, fertility, FSA for medical, childcare, and commuter expenses. Eligible employees at Sunshine Sachs Morgan & Lylis may access these benefits, along with many additional perks including, a flexible work schedule, Work from Anywhere program, Summer Fridays, Wellness Days, and a 4-week sabbatical or trip to celebrate select anniversaries. We love to socialize so, we have collaborative workspaces, some offices even have rooftops, celebrations, networking opportunities, and community volunteering. We frequently mark opportunities to listen, learn and act throughout the year (Juneteenth, Election Day, International Women’s Day, etc.).

SSM&L is committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and ability. We are an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sexual orientation, identity and expression, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.

There’s more!
From day one, employees are carefully matched with a mentor to guide them on their path to success. Training and mentoring are a big deal here and since we are into promoting from within, we make sure to provide more than enough tools for you to learn and grow. We are proud to offer training throughout the year on topics for professional growth as well as personal growth. We have also developed a series of teaching workshops that are structured for each level of the company. Sunshiners also take love to take advantage of the monthly Meet the Industry series where industry thought leaders provide valuable insider info on how to work with them and their colleagues.
