We are seeking a driven and motivated Assistant Project Manager to join a nationally recognized heavy commercial general contractor on a landmark arena construction project in Reno, Nevada.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a project that will become a premier destination for sporting events, concerts, entertainment, and community gatherings. Working alongside an experienced project leadership team, you will gain exposure to every phase of a large-scale commercial construction project while helping ensure successful delivery from preconstruction through closeout.

What You'll Be Doing

Project Support & Coordination

  • Assist Project Managers and Project Executives with the day-to-day management of a large-scale arena construction project

  • Support project planning, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and documentation efforts

  • Coordinate with Superintendents, subcontractors, architects, engineers, and owners

  • Help track project milestones and ensure critical deadlines are met

Document Control & Administration

  • Manage and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project correspondence

  • Maintain accurate project documentation and records

  • Assist with contract administration and subcontractor management

  • Coordinate project meetings and distribute meeting minutes

Cost & Schedule Management

  • Assist with budget tracking, forecasting, and cost reporting

  • Monitor procurement schedules and long-lead equipment deliveries

  • Help identify potential project risks and support resolution efforts

  • Track subcontractor performance and project progress

Client & Team Communication

  • Support communication between field teams, project leadership, and clients

  • Participate in owner, architect, and subcontractor meetings

  • Help ensure information is distributed accurately and efficiently throughout the project team

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred

  • 2+ years of experience in commercial construction project management, project engineering, or a related role

  • Experience working for a General Contractor strongly preferred

  • Arena, stadium, hospitality, gaming, healthcare, aviation, convention center, or large commercial project experience is a plus

  • Strong understanding of construction processes and project documentation

  • Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar software preferred

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

  • Desire to grow into a Project Manager role within a leading commercial construction organization
