Job description

AWS Central Economics and Science is hiring an Executive Assistant (EA) who wants to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, exciting, and growing organization. We are looking for someone to both support the team's executives and work with other talented EAs to support various Amazon wide Economist initiatives, AWS wide science initiatives, and AWS finance initiatives.
You will be responsible for handling confidential information and maintaining professionalism in dealing with senior executives. Role responsibilities include managing multiple complex calendars, planning and organizing events of all sizes, and coordinating domestic and international travel

You will also help build a positive team environment and establish working relationships inside and outside of the group.
This role requires five (5) days a week in office.
Key job responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Management of multiple complex calendars, meeting prioritization, and large scale meeting coordination
- Coordination and planning of domestic and international travel, including organizing trip agendas and local logistics
- Completing expense reports, and managing corporate card purchases; participation in budget planning and tracking as needed
- Managing other core administrative activities (space planning, new-hire onboarding, team morale events)
- Planning and coordinating team activities and events
- Helping to plan and coordinate some activities and events for the economics job family and AWS science community (e.g., annual conferences, social events, etc.)
- Tracking and helping to drive completion of key deliverables for team and executives, following up on key items
- Having fun at work and helping others do the same

In this role, you'll partner with leaders, individual contributors, and fellow EAs to manage complex calendars and keep operations running smoothly. You'll proactively anticipate your team's needs-looking around corners before issues arise, all while helping foster a positive, energizing office culture where people enjoy coming to work.
