Overview

Michael Maltzan Architecture (MMA) is seeking an experienced and highly organized Executive Assistant to support Michael Maltzan, Principal and Founder of the firm. The Executive Assistant serves as a trusted partner to the Principal, managing a broad range of administrative and scheduling responsibilities in a fast‑paced design environment. The ideal candidate is exceptionally detail‑oriented, exercises sound judgment and discretion, and brings a proactive approach to anticipating needs and managing competing priorities.

Responsibilities
  • Managing Michael Maltzan's calendar, travel, and correspondence
  • Coordinating meetings, lectures, and professional commitments
  • Answering and directing phone calls
  • Liaising with clients, institutions, consultants, and collaborators on behalf of the Principal
  • Supporting the preparation of presentations, proposals, and related materials
  • Assisting with expense reporting and general administrative tasks
  • Providing personal assistant support to Michael Maltzan as needed
  • Interfacing with firm staff
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in an executive assistant or senior administrative role, preferably within architecture, design, or a related creative field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and general office management tools
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with discretion, efficiency, and composure
  • Genuine interest in architecture and the built environment is a plus
Compensation & Work Arrangement

This is a full-time, in‑person position based at MMA's Silverlake studio. Remote work is not available for this role. The salary range is $70,000–$80,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
