About the role:

As a Senior Engineer - Messaging you will ensure the continued stability of enterprise email systems in service of main business functions. The primary responsibilities for this position will to administer and maintain Microsoft Exchange Online services, and provide engineering-level support for end-users and customer issues. This includes execution of daily maintenance tasks, generating reports, analyzing and summarizing system alerts, remediation of issues, incident management responsibilities, and administration of Microsoft 365 compliance features, including eDiscovery and data governance activities.

You will report to the Supervisor - Modern Workplace and be located at Cranberry Township, PA. The is a hybrid position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support and administer the server messaging infrastructure for Enterprise Office 365 implementation, and SMTP gateways.

  • Work with end-users to address messaging-related incidents and tasks.

  • Provide off-hours, on-call support for 24/7 messaging services.

  • Support and administer the mobile messaging infrastructure.

  • Support messaging services project work.

  • Support messaging services activities for mergers and acquisitions.

  • Evaluate and make recommendations on new technology and services in the messaging area.

  • Support messaging-related Security and Compliance Center activities, including execution and management of eDiscovery cases, content searches, legal holds, and data retention processes.

Qualifications:
  • BS, Computer Science, Information Systems or Related Field

  • 5+ years of support and administration of Exchange messaging environments

  • Proficient in the administration of Exchange Online, Exchange Online Protection, and Exchange 2013+

  • Familiar with Microsoft 365, Office 365, Azure, Microsoft Defender, and Compliance Center workloads

  • Experience administering Microsoft Purview features, including eDiscovery (Standard/Premium), Content Search, Litigation Hold, and retention policies

  • Develop, modify, and troubleshoot advanced PowerShell scripts to support automation and system administration

  • Work and collaborate with clients, peers, and management to troubleshoot issues, and recommend and implement solutions

  • Document technical design and related project or systems-level documentation
