Job Overview:
 
Pay Range: $45hr - $50hr
  • Responsible for administering, supporting, and optimizing Microsoft Exchange Online and hybrid messaging environments. 
  • The role involves managing mail flow, mailbox services, email security, compliance configurations, and troubleshooting complex messaging issues while ensuring high availability, performance, and secure communication across the organization.

Requirement/Must Have:

  • Strong experience with Microsoft 365 Exchange Online administration.
  • Experience managing Exchange hybrid environments (on-premises and cloud).
  • Strong understanding of mail flow, connectors, routing, and transport rules.
  • Experience with Azure AD / Entra ID and Active Directory synchronization.
  • Strong knowledge of email security and compliance configurations.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex email delivery and messaging issues.
  • Strong understanding of SMTP, TLS, and DNS (MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC).
  • Experience supporting enterprise-level messaging environments.
  • Strong incident, problem, and change management experience (ITIL aligned).
  • Strong PowerShell scripting skills for Exchange Online automation.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Experience:

  • Experience administering Exchange Online at an advanced level.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer and manage Exchange Online environments including mailbox provisioning, retention, and transport rules.
  • Manage mail flow configurations, connectors, and routing policies.
  • Maintain shared mailboxes, resource mailboxes, distribution lists, and Microsoft 365 Groups.
  • Perform advanced mailbox operations including migrations, recoveries, litigation holds, and archive management.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex email delivery issues including latency and service degradation.
  • Support hybrid Exchange environments and ensure service continuity.
  • Analyze and resolve issues related to mail routing, connectors, and DNS records.
  • Implement and manage email security policies including anti-spam, anti-malware, and phishing protection.
  • Configure and maintain SPF, DKIM, and DMARC authentication protocols.
  • Support compliance requirements including retention, eDiscovery, and audits.
  • Lead design and implementation of messaging solutions and enhancements.
  • Support Exchange Online and cross-tenant migration initiatives.
  • Monitor messaging systems and manage major incidents (P1/P2).
  • Coordinate with Microsoft and third-party vendors for issue resolution.
  • Develop and maintain PowerShell automation scripts for operational efficiency.
  • Improve operational processes through automation and optimization initiatives.

Should Have:

  • Experience with Exchange Online migrations (on-prem to cloud and cross-tenant).
  • Experience with Microsoft Defender for Office 365 advanced configurations.
  • Experience working in large enterprise messaging environments.
