Job description

The Special Projects Manager - Events position exists to provide strategy, management, and oversight of key project plans for the Events team. This role requires strong relationship-building skills and the ability to lead cross-functionally with internal and executive teams to ensure successful outcomes. The ideal individual will be a highly organized leader with a proven track record in delivering complex events and projects that align with organizational goals.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Leads project management for large-scale projects and high-profile events, overseeing all phases from concept through execution with strong organization and clear stakeholder communication
  • Provides proactive and efficient oversight of budget, timelines, and deliverables throughout the life of the project
  • Leads risk management and contingency planning efforts to mitigate potential challenges and ensure seamless execution of high-visibility events
  • Develops strategic event and project roadmaps, launch plans, and functional support plans to achieve measurable objectives
  • Defines event scope and objectives in collaboration with key stakeholders and event owners
  • Maintains up-to-date weekly communications and monthly reports of project status to internal teams and executive leadership
  • Conducts post-event evaluations, including project assessments, fundraising performance, lessons learned, and constituent/donor feedback, to identify opportunities for improvement and enhance future events
  • Researches and analyzes data related to project management to inform or improve best practices across the team
  • Oversees the execution of strategic fundraising events, in partnership with Family Advancement leadership, ensuring alignment with organization revenue goals and donor engagement strategies
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with ePMO, Marketing, Creative teams, and external partners, providing meeting coordination, project documentation, and ongoing communication
  • Builds and maintains strong collaborative relationships with clients, customers, donors, and strategic partners associated with event project efforts
  • Supervises, trains, and develops direct reports to ensure a high-level of excellence in all aspects of special projects and events
  • Assists Events Director in overseeing critical aspects of high-profile initiatives and helps execute additional corporate events as needed
  • Fosters a collaborative, servant-minded environment within the events team

Pay Range: $72,904 to $87,153
