Arrowfly, LLC seeks a strategic, data-driven, and communications minded Events Marketing Specialist. Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, the Events Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing and executing event-specific marketing plans with the primary goal of driving registrations and achieving attendance targets within our Engineering portfolio. Beyond registrations, this role plays a critical part in strengthening brand positioning, expanding audience reach, deepening engagement, and supporting revenue growth.


The Specialist manages campaigns across email, social media, telemarketing, digital advertising, partnerships, influencer outreach, and websites. Success requires a balance of strategic planning and hands-on execution, with the ability to craft compelling campaigns, optimize performance using data, and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.


This role works in close partnership with the Portfolio Marketer, Sales, Audience Development, Events, Operations, and Editors to ensure marketing strategies, content, and messaging are fully aligned.


Key Responsibilities


  • Event Marketing Plans: Develop and execute marketing plans for each event to drive registration growth and meet attendance targets.
  • Collaboration & Alignment: Partner with Portfolio Marketers, Sales, Audience, Events, Operations, and Editors to ensure strategies are consistent across channels and aligned with editorial standards and brand voice.
  • Audience Targeting: Partner with Audience Development to build and segment lists, refine outreach strategies, and support ticket sales and renewals, while monitoring underperforming audiences, collaborating on mitigation strategies, and adapting to shifting marketing plans.
  • Campaign Execution: Create and manage event-specific campaigns across email, telemarketing, social media, influencers, partnerships, and media agreements to expand reach and maximize exposure.
  • Creative Development: Lead the design of ads, video content, media kits, and other promotional materials, while independently creating most graphics and email designs (excluding image headers provided by the design team).
  • Digital Platforms: Build and maintain event websites (WordPress, Unbounce, CVENT) in partnership with Events and Operations; manage discount codes, pacing reports, and attendee communications.
  • Analytics & Measurement: Use Salesforce, Outreach, and Google Sheets to manage databases, track conversions, measure ROI, and optimize campaigns.
  • Sponsor & VIP Engagement: Support Sales and Events teams with sponsor visibility, logo placement, and marketing assets; identify and engage high-value attendees for executive-level programs.
  • Sales Support: Provide lead-generation campaigns and marketing collateral to assist Sales in sponsorship and attendee acquisition.
  • Onsite Support (As Needed): Attend and support events to gain firsthand insights, manage check-in and customer service, drive live social promotion, and assist with logistics such as setup, tear-down, and sponsor activations.
Requirements:

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent professional experience considered.
  • 2+ years of marketing experience, ideally with a focus on events, digital campaigns, or audience engagement.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to collaborate effectively across Sales, Audience, Events, Operations, and Editorial teams.
  • Hands-on experience with marketing and CRM platforms (Salesforce, Outreach, MailChimp, or similar) plus proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tactics including email, social media, paid campaigns, and web content management.
  • Solid understanding of TradeOut execution for event sponsors.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to track KPIs, measure ROI, and adjust campaigns based on performance.
  • Customer-focused attitude, adaptable, detail-oriented, and proactive in problem solving.
