Position Summary


The Event Manager, Premium Experiences, is responsible for ensuring the highest level of event management success, including maintaining and acquiring venue partner relationships, managing expenses, and overseeing event staff operations and logistics.


Key Responsibilities


Primary duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversee ideation, curation and execution of all marquee hospitality events for REVELXP, to ensure individual event goals are achieved. Events include, but are not limited to: Conference hospitality events; Bowl game hospitality events; College Football Playoff National Championships hospitality events; Other major sporting events around golf, baseball, etc.
  • With assigned event staff, develop comprehensive plans and timelines for events, including: Design of venue/event layouts; Décor; Food and beverage planning; Staffing (volunteers, full-time, part time (as needed)); Talent and entertainment; Production timelines
  • When necessary, assign/allocate, manage, advise, and develop a high performing team of events specialists who display expertise and leadership in event delivery.
  • Demonstrate the ability to conceptualize and execute innovative event experiences, with a meticulous eye for detail in all aspects of event design- Including thematic décor, guest flow and experience.
  • Conduct pre-event analysis to establish clear event goals, budget parameters, and risk assessments, ensuring all findings are incorporated in the overall event planning framework.
  • Proactively identify potential operational challenges during the planning and implementation phases, coaching, and guiding the event execution on mitigation strategies to ensure seamless delivery.
  • Manage event budget; partner with sales leadership team to establish budget for event and provide fiscal responsibility and oversight.
  • Facilitate post-event debriefs and present post-event reports to executive staff, clients, or other stakeholders as needed.
  • Provide creative vision and implementation oversight to hospitality staff for all new event and guest service initiatives.
  • Cultivate and maintain exemplary relationships with client and vendor partners and other event stakeholders.
  • Negotiate vendor contracts within budgetary parameters.
  • Ensure proper documentation related to insurance certificates and legal agreements for vendors.
  • Develop and implement a training system for hospitality staff, including checklists, budget templates, best practices.
  • Identify expense efficiencies that benefit the overall event portfolio.
  • Travel regularly to events to ensure quality control and best practices are being upheld.
Requirements:

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college.
  • 3+ years managing hospitality events and/or premium services.
  • A passion and ability to lead and serve others, as this is a primary function of this position.
  • Effective problem-solving abilities and the ability to work independently and as a team -- be a self-starter and collaborative, depending on situation and client needs.
  • Strong organization, communication, follow-up, and interpersonal skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Able to develop and execute strategic plans that achieve both short- and long-term goals & objectives.
  • Proven track record of developing and maintaining strong, lasting relationships with relevant stakeholders.
  • Experienced in managing numerous projects at once within a fast-paced environment; time management is key.
  • Travel multiple times in most months (including some weekends and holidays) is to be anticipated.
  • High level of initiative, specifically in the areas of company growth and process improvement.
  • Demonstrates a high level of integrity, character, honesty, and commitment to excellence.
  • Results-driven; willing to do whatever it takes to accomplish the goal.
  • Strong desire to learn and grow within the company.
  • Ability to manage and coach various levels of team members.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
  • Preferred: Experience with graphic design platforms, such as Canva, with the ability to produce polished documents, compelling presentations and visually engaging event proposals.
