Cherokee Town & Country Club, one of the nation's premier private clubs, is seeking a Fitness Hospitality & Events Manager to join our Family, Swim & Fitness team.

This role combines hospitality leadership, front desk operations, wellness programming, member events, and spa coordination to ensure every member interaction reflects Cherokee's commitment to outstanding service.

Lead the Member Experience - Set the tone for exceptional hospitality throughout Fitness & Wellness, from the moment a member arrives.
Bring Events to Life - Plan and execute year-round department events while managing the details that make each experience successful.
Develop a Great Team - Recruit, train, schedule, coach, and develop Front Desk, Fitness Event, Spa, and Massage staff.
Connect Hospitality & Wellness - Help create a seamless experience across front desk operations, wellness programming, events, massage, and spa services.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Lead front desk and member reception operations for Fitness & Wellness while upholding Cherokee's hospitality standards.
  • Develop service training and SOPs, resolve member concerns, monitor feedback, and identify opportunities to continuously improve the member experience.
  • Recruit, train, schedule, coach, and evaluate Front Desk, Fitness Event, Massage, and Spa staff.
  • Manage opening and closing procedures and ensure accurate appointment and reservation scheduling.
  • Plan and execute year-round department events, including timelines, logistics, staffing, vendors, registrations, budgets, and internal promotion.
  • Coordinate massage and esthetician scheduling while ensuring established spa standards are maintained.
  • Assist with the development and promotion of wellness packages.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and performance management while fostering teamwork, accountability, professionalism, and hospitality.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and training and assist with hiring, onboarding, evaluations, and developing future leaders.
  • Assist with departmental budgets and monitor labor, costs, event profitability, and performance metrics.
  • Prepare hospitality, programming, and member engagement reports and recommend opportunities to improve service and efficiency.
  • Maintain strong communication across the department and support additional operational needs as assigned.

Requirements
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive management experience in hospitality, private clubs, luxury hotels, fitness, wellness, or recreation.
  • Experience supervising teams and managing daily operations.
  • Strong understanding of hospitality standards and the ability to create a welcoming member environment.
  • Strong computer skills and comprehension.
  • Event planning and member programming experience preferred.
  • Private club experience strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Fitness/Recreation Management, Business Administration, Sports Management, Event Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organization, and service skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as needed.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
