Looking for Catering Event Support and Warehouse Operator:

JOB DESCRIPTION:

As an Event Support and Warehouse Operator at Lib's Catering, you will be an integral part of our dynamic team, contributing to the flawless execution of events both on and off-premise. Your role will encompass a diverse set of responsibilities, including the setup and breakdown of off-premise events, basic kitchen prep tasks, barbacking duties, and the management of supplies and tablewares. In the warehouse, you will take charge of loading and unloading trucks for events, conduct small truck maintenance tasks, driving trucks as needed, and contributing to the efficient organization of the warehouse space. Your commitment to quality control and safety compliance will be crucial, as you conduct thorough checks on event materials, promptly address any issues, and enforce safety standards. If you possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, we invite you to join our team and play a key role in delivering memorable and successful events for our clients.

SCHEDULE:

This is a flex-time position with a primary reporting location at our catering warehouse in Owings Mills (11 Gwynns Mill Ct, Suite S.). Some travel is required for this position, and it is likely that the schedule will vary from week to week, depending on the number of booked events, needs within the warehouse and kitchen operations. This position requires weekend and occasional holiday availability.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Load and unload trucks for events, ensuring accurate and timely handling of equipment and materials.
  • Execute small truck maintenance tasks, such as filling gas tanks and cleaning trucks.
  • Drive trucks as required for event logistics.
  • Organize and maintain the warehouse space efficiently.
  • Collaborate with the events team to understand specific event requirements.
  • Provide on-site support during events, assisting with setup, breakdown, and troubleshooting.
  • Manage and organize supplies and tableware for off-premise events.
  • Fulfill barbacking responsibilities to ensure smooth bar operations.
  • Coordinate transportation logistics for event materials.
  • Work closely with the events team to ensure a cohesive and efficient workflow.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records of event equipment, furniture, and supplies.
  • Address and report any damages or issues promptly.
  • Enforce safety protocols within the warehouse and during event setup.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to lift packages and equipment weighing at least 50 pounds
  • Walking, standing, sitting required throughout the typical business day
  • The ability to regularly & repetitively bend, carry, climb, grasp, kneel, lift, pull, push, reach, sit, stand, twist, walk
  • Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to drive a box truck
  • Enthusiastic & responsible with flexible schedule
  • Ability to multi-task while maintaining strong attention to detail
