Position Summary

Shelby Farms Park Conservancy is seeking friendly, dependable individuals to work as Event Support Representatives. The Event Support Representative provides on-site supervision of events taking place at the facility, ensuring that contractual agreements are met. The individual must be customer service oriented and willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done.

Duties & Areas Of Responsibility

โ€ขย  Open and secure the facility before and after events.

โ€ขย  Direct and coordinate activities with food service and other vendors; oversee basic needs of the client during an event.

โ€ขย  Set up and break down chairs, tables, stages, audio-visual, and other equipment in accordance with client contract requirements.

โ€ขย  Explain policies and procedures for use of the facility.

โ€ขย  Respond to emergency situations by determining and implementing appropriate procedures.

โ€ขย  Inspect facility before, during, and after functions for cleanliness and safety; touch up areas as needed.

โ€ขย  Produce event reports noting any significant problems.

โ€ขย  Work within reservation software to book new clients as needed.

โ€ขย  Answer phones and take detailed messages for staff within reservation software.

โ€ขย  Assist with additional events and Sales + Events special projects as needed.
