You’ll be the face of Catered Creations on-site, setting the tone for corporate meetings, celebrations, and weddings all over West Michigan. 
About Us
Catered Creations helps event planners, businesses, and couples deliver stress-free, crowd-pleasing events with high-quality food, professional service, and reliable execution. Our delivery and event team is the last line of defense before the food reaches the guest, so this role is critical to our reputation. 
Position Overview
This role is a mix of delivery driver, buffet setup, event staff, and back-of-house support. You will: 
  • Work independently to deliver catering drop-offs, set up buffets, and manage your own timing with clients 
  • Work with a team on full-service events, supporting event captains and teammates to execute larger functions
You’ll drive company vehicles (mini vans, full-size vans, and box trucks) and represent Catered Creations at client locations.
Key Responsibilities

Delivery & Solo Setup 
  • Safely drive company vehicles to and from event locations 
  • Load, transport, and unload food, beverages, equipment, and table service using checklists 
  • Independently set up buffets, chafers, beverages, signage, and table service to Catered Creations standards 
  • Take clear photos of completed setups and send them per company procedure 
  • Communicate professionally with on-site contacts and confirm pickup time windows
Pickup & Breakdown 
  • Return to client locations to break down buffets and gather all Catered Creations equipment 
  • Properly handle and return leftover hot and cold food for storage or disposal 
  • Load carts and vehicles to avoid spills, damage, and injury 
  • Leave event areas clean and orderly, respecting each venue’s rules
Kitchen, Equipment & Vehicles 
  • Break down and sort dishes, table service, and equipment from drop-offs and staffed events 
  • Sanitize cambros and other food transport equipment correctly 
  • Restock, organize, and stage equipment and table service for upcoming events 
  • Clean and care for company vehicles, including addressing spills and basic cleaning
Team-Based Event Staffing 
  • Serve as event staff on full-service events (monitor buffets, refill items, basic service and clearing) 
  • Assist with event setup and teardown of buffet stations and service areas as part of a team 
  • Follow direction from event captains and managers to ensure smooth, professional events
What We’re Looking For

  • Must be 21 years of age or older to meet company vehicle insurance requirements.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record 
  • Comfortable driving vans and box trucks in all seasons 
  • Ability to bend to lift and carry 50 lbs and push loaded carts; on your feet most of the shift 
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written checklists and procedures 
  • Professional, friendly communication with clients, guests, venues, and teammates 
  • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team 
  • Reliable, punctual, and calm under pressure when timing or plans change 
  • Willing and able to work occasional early-morning breakfast deliveries, with start times as early as 5:00 AM when scheduled 
  • Food service or event experience is a plus, but we will train the right person
Pay & Perks

  • Starting pay $17/hr
  • +$2/hr shift differential for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday event shifts (event shifts at $19/hr

Schedule & Seasonality

  • Typical schedule is most Fridays and Saturdays plus two weekdays that vary week-to-week based on events
  • Weekday shifts are typically either: 
    • Breakfast delivery shifts: start between 5:00–7:30 AM, usually done around 12:30 PM
    • Lunch delivery shifts: start around 9:00 AM, usually done around 5:00 PM
  • Friday and Saturday event shifts typically start between 1:00–3:00 PM and run until around 10:00 PM, depending on the event 
  • Hours are heaviest August–December (corporate events, weddings, and holiday parties) 
  • Spring and summer (April–July) typically ramp up, with most team members working Fridays, Saturdays, and around two weekdays based on event volume 
  • Hours may be lighter January–March, with opportunities to pick up more as business needs grow 
  • Strong performers will be considered first for additional hours and longer-term opportunities
