LAZ Parking is hiring U of M Event Staff - COME JOIN THE ACTION!
LAZ Parking - Hiring Event at Pioneer High School July 7th-8th from 10 AM to 2 PM!
We will be at the entrance of the school or just inside the doors and would love to speak with you about upcoming events and football season! Feel free to bring 2 forms of ID and a resume!

The Spirit of the Position: The Event Staff members are the frontline personnel responsible for greeting, engaging and interacting with all customers attending events (sporting events, music concerts, etc.).
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Screening of event traffic as assigned.
  • Processing of event passes, credit card transactions as assigned.
  • Direction of event traffic as assigned.
  • Setup/tear down of all event signage and equipment.
  • Ensuring that all facilities are swept free of debris following the completing of an event.

Customer Service:
  • Promote good customer relations by consistently providing exceptional customer service with a professional and friendly demeanor, positive attitude, and willingness to help at all times.
  • Resolve customer service issues or questions as needed or refer the situation to a supervisor for resolution.
  • Meet and greet each customer with courtesy and great customer service.
  • Understand how to handle the different types of customers and where to direct them.

Skills:
  • Adhere to dress code - Must be able to work outside in any weather conditions (rain, snow, wind, heat, etc.) and be able to continuously stand for extended periods of time (3-6 hours)
  • Follow all safety standards.
  • Communicate with management, supervisors and traffic directors.
  • Expedite the traffic flow in a timely fashion.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively.
  • Ability to speak, read, and comprehend the English language.
  • Must be open to feedback, differing opinions and other points of view.
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency and timeliness.
  • Demonstrate the ability to seek improvement.
  • Excellent teambuilding and interpersonal skills.

Experience:
  • 2+ years in a customer service role
  • Experience handling cash, conducting monetary transactions.
  • Parking industry experience is preferred but not required.
  • Previous experience working in outdoor/extreme weather conditions preferred.

Other Assigned Duties:
  • Reporting of all incidents in accordance with company policies

Physical Demands:
  • Ability to lift, push and pull at least 25 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time.
  • Ability bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift.
  • Willingness to work in the elements - heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.
  • Ability to work all Events as scheduled.
