Summary:

Jorgensen Farms is made up of multiple divisions, creating a unique agritourism environment that blends organic farming with special events. The Catering Supervisor plays a key leadership role in ensuring smooth FOH catering operations, overseeing event service staff, and upholding Jorgensen Farms' high hospitality standards. This position assists the Catering Manager in executing seamless food and beverage service while fostering a professional, team-oriented environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist Catering Manager to oversee FOH catering service at weddings, corporate events, and special occasions
  • Act as the first point of contact for all Jorgensen servers and bartenders on the day of the event
  • Ensure service staff adhere to timelines, presentation standards, and guest expectations
  • Assist with event setup, execution, and breakdown, ensuring all catering-related areas are clean and organized
  • Provide on-the-spot coaching and guidance to maintain professional and efficient service
  • Assist in training new FOH catering staff on service procedures and expectations
  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety, uniform standards, and alcohol service regulations
  • Attend the weekly event meeting with the Event Coordinator and the Catering Manager to review event detailsย 
  • Collaborate with Event Managers, Event Coordinators, and other departments to ensure event success
  • Create staff notes outlining event timelines, details, and assignments
  • Create plated meal serve orders when applicableย 
  • Create equipment packing lists for events held at The Gardens venue; pack and load the catering van for offsite events as needed
  • Serve as main client, vendor, staff, and Event Assistant contact once the Event Coordinator and Catering Manager have leftย 
  • Ensure venues are properly secured, cleaned, and maintained post-event per the closing checklist
  • Assist clients with end-of-event duties such as transporting gifts and packing up leftover food or alcohol
  • Maintain awareness of health, safety, and alcohol service regulations
  • Communicate equipment or supply needs to the Catering Manager
  • Recognize and respond appropriately to emergency situations
  • Whatever it takes to create a comfortable, welcoming, and supportive environment for all staff and guests

  • Guest-centric and team-focused mentality
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand or walk the entire duration of the shift
  • Food and beverage knowledge
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant catering or event experience
  • ServSafe Certification preferredย 
  • Inspire a "Bring the Cows Home" attitude
