Job description

The Fox Bros Bar-B-Q Catering Event Sales Coordinator is responsible for revenue production for Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q Catering through established account management, outside sales calls, prospecting and responding to sales leads. General and multifaceted support of the catering program, the required administrative support of prospects, clients and planned events. Maintain our sales communication outreach methods including, sales packets and other emerging sources. Actively provide a positive word of mouth about our program on a daily basis, primarily via phone calls and emails. Hours vary with some night/weekend work required.
 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

On a consistent basis, work successfully with potential and existing clients, all event planners, event staff, vendor personnel and Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q staff to:

· Prospect for new opportunities and accounts in the corporate, collegiate, non-profit, film, and city events and large gathering events.

· Respond to sales inquires and leads, primarily via phone and email.

· Convey catering pricing, date availability with the goal of meeting both the client’s needs and financial goals for Fox Bros. Catering.

· Be familiar with the principal competition for each market segment and take advantage of Fox Bros. Catering’s strengths.

· Develop networking opportunities through active participation in community and professional associations, activities and events.

· Assist the Director to organize and keep up with changes needed in all faces of the program.

· Maintain a connection with each client through periodic outreach and manage final event details.

· Maintain communication between Catering Commissary staff and Fox Bros. Restaurant Managers about upcoming catering events.

· Perform other miscellaneous correspondence and job related duties, as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, and/or EXPERIENCE

At least two years of hospitality experience required. Sales experience preferred, but not required.

OTHER SKILLS, EXPERIENCE OR CERTIFICATIONS

· Possess strong attention to detail, along with a persistent desire to secure and qualify additional business.

· A positive, service oriented attitude and appearance.

· Possess a good attendance record and organizational skills.

· Ability to interface successfully with different types of people.

· Proficient computer skills, including MSOffice, Excel, and related Windows based programs.

· Experience with Caterease is a plus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

· Active involvement with booked events will require a certain amount of stamina and mobility.

· Standing for long periods of time at events and limited lifting or moving of supplies.

· Able to safely lift up to 30 pounds.

· Working varied hours to accommodate event scheduling.

EFFECT ON END RESULT

A successful complete of the position responsibilities will allow for a smooth handling of all Fox Bros. Catering events, whether they be pick up orders, deliveries, or full service events.
