Senior Civil Discipline Lead

Responsibilities:

  • Direct and oversee extensive and complex water resources programs requiring significant staff, stakeholder collaboration, and coordination
  • Align organizational structure, staffing, skills development, training, and operational focus with company values, objectives, and strategic initiatives
  • Collaborate with senior PM's to address complex business and client matters
  • Execute legal and contractual commitments on behalf of the firm with clients, teaming partners, vendors, and subconsultants within established guidelines
  • Ensure all work produced by reporting staff meets company risk management and quality standards
  • Ensure QA/QC compliance on projects in accordance with client requirements and company policies
  • Serve as Project Manager to lead large, complex, multidisciplinary projects
  • Maintain strong management capabilities and provide guidance to others on management-related issues
  • Manage projects with fees up to $5 million
  • Negotiate critical and complex issues with executive-level representatives of client organizations and partner firms
  • Lead development and delivery of major external presentations, including sales presentations, seminars, and industry events
  • Foster and strengthen existing client relationships while developing new business opportunities through ongoing outreach and engagement
  • Expand and transition client relationships to additional staff members to support long-term business growth and continuity

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required
  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field required
  • Minimum of 20 years of civil engineering/water resources consulting experience
  • Proven ability to develop and lead multiple large project teams
  • Excellent client relationship management skills
  • Skilled in building strategic alliances and relationships to achieve business objectives
  • Strong understanding of company operations and objectives, with the ability to effectively communicate them to teams
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, develop, and mentor future leaders within the organization
  • Exceptional negotiation, client management, and external team-building skills
  • Proficiency with project management systems and tools
  • Experience directing large programs involving multiple staff levels, including senior management
  • Proven ability to mentor technical staff and managers
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering codes, standards, and industry best practices
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment, lead project tasks, work independently, and remain self-motivated
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% monthly

Compensation Package:

  • Pay Range: $176,000 - $288,000 (DOE)
