Location:
Louisiana / Texas (Hybrid)
This opportunity supports hydrogen plant turnarounds across industrial facilities, with responsibility for building and maintaining detailed Primavera P6 schedules that help drive safe and timely execution. The role works across planning, execution, operations, maintenance, engineering, contractors, and leadership teams to develop integrated schedules, monitor progress, and identify recovery opportunities in a heavy industrial environment. This position offers exposure to turnaround planning, critical path analysis, resource forecasting, and schedule performance management.
Responsibilities:
Schedule Development
  • Develop and maintain detailed turnaround schedules using Primavera P6.
  • Create integrated schedules combining maintenance, operations, and capital project scope.
  • Build logic-driven schedules with accurate activity sequencing and dependencies.
  • Incorporate scope changes, discovery work, and execution updates into the schedule.
  • Establish schedule baseline and track progress against original plan.
  • Conduct critical path and near-critical path analysis.

Turnaround Preparation
  • Collaborate with turnaround planners and turnaround event manager to ensure all work packages are incorporated into the schedule.
  • Verify equipment readiness, permits, and resource requirements.
  • Participate in scope challenge and scope freeze processes.
  • Support worklist prioritization and schedule optimization initiatives and assist in developing milestone schedules.

Execution Support
  • Update schedules daily during turnaround execution.
  • Monitor actual progress and analyze schedule performance.
  • Identify schedule risks, delays, and recovery opportunities.
  • Facilitate daily schedule review meetings with stakeholders.
  • Prepare look-ahead schedules for operations, maintenance, and contractors.
  • Recommend schedule recovery plans when required.

Resource Management
    • Provide labor loading and manpower forecasting.
    • Analyze craft utilization and productivity trends.
    • Assist in shift planning and work execution sequencing.

Continuous Improvement
    • Participate in post-turnaround reviews and benchmarking activities.
    • Recommend scheduling best practices and process improvements.
    • Develop and maintain scheduling standards, procedures, and templates.
    • Support implementation of digital turnaround management tools.

Required Experience:
  • 10+ years of scheduling experience in industrial maintenance, projects, or turnarounds using Oracle Primavera.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting large-scale turnarounds, shutdowns, or outages.
  • Experience working in industrial plant environments and supporting execution activities on site.

Requirements:
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6.
  • Strong understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling.
  • Ability to develop and maintain detailed turnaround schedules with logic-driven sequencing and dependencies.
  • Experience creating integrated schedules that combine maintenance, operations, and capital project scope.
  • Capability in schedule baseline development, progress tracking, and schedule performance analysis.
  • Knowledge of resource loading, manpower forecasting, and schedule risk analysis techniques.
  • Ability to identify delays, schedule risks, and recovery opportunities during turnaround execution.
  • Strong analytical thinking, communication, stakeholder management, problem solving, and attention to detail.

Required Certifications:
  • TWIC (Required)
  • OSHA Basic (Required)

Preferred:
  • Experience in refinery, petrochemical, chemical manufacturing, power generation, mining, or heavy industrial environments.
  • Ability to obtain certifications from OSCA, HASC, ISTC, and Alliance Safety Council.
