Job description

Principal Coordinator- Event Operations Team

We are looking for an exceptional Event Coordinator to support the planning, logistics and execution of Students & Grads University Events. You will be responsible for carrying out event planning, execution and logistics while collaborating with University Leads. Additionally, you will play a critical role in helping the team be well-managed throughout an exciting and fast paced recruiting season. If you are excited about finding great talent and building engaging experiences, you may be a fit for this team!

In this role you will:

  • Be hyper-focused on providing an exceptional candidate experience with each and every event we host virtually and on campus.

  • Be keenly aware of the details and be able to communicate those specifics out to others through verbal and written communications.

  • Work closely with University Events leads and recruiters to ensure a cohesive candidate experience throughout the full candidate journey.

  • Be detail-oriented and able to apply big picture thinking to local execution.

  • Be expected to travel up to 25-50% of the time during the peak season to support in person events.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification

  • At least 1 year of experience in corporate event planning or project management

  • At least 1 year of experience in Microsoft Office or Google Suite

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience

  • At least 2 years of experience in corporate event planning or project management

  • At least 2 years of experience in Microsoft Office or Google Suite

  • Experience working in an agile environment

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

McLean, VA: $62,500 - $71,300 for Principal HR Coordinator


Richmond, VA: $56,800 - $64,800 for Principal HR Coordinator
