Job description

Salary: Starting at $16/hour

Established, Michigan Based Catering Company is expanding and looking to add a Steward and Event Operations member to the team.

POSITION SUMMARY: You will be an integral part of the company providing memorable and positive events! If you love working in a team environment, organization, cleaning and are excited about the hospitality industry, this position is for you.


This person would

  • Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass tableware and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through the dish machine.
  • Sort and stack clean dishes. Carry clean dishes to cook line and other proper storage areas.
  • Set up or break down the dishwashing area. Wipe up spills.
  • Assist with weekly and monthly cleaning projects as assigned
  • Load and unload trucks with maximum efficiency and timeliness.
  • Assist with event logistics
  • Understand equipment knowledge and management
  • Maintain safety standards
  • Provide the highest level of hospitality during events (with internal or external teams).

Job Requirements

  • Valid Drivers License/Chauffeur's License
  • No DWI/DUI in the past 5 years,
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Able to work evenings and weekends when necessary
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Position requires extended periods of standing time
