Job description

Position Overview: The Office of Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving is seeking a reliable and motivated student worker to assist with day-to-day office operations and events for alumni and donors. This position provides hands-on experience in event planning, communications, and administrative support while working closely with professional staff and volunteers.
Key Responsibilities:
The duties below represent possible responsibilities for this part-time position throughout the semester. Weekly assignments will include a small selection of these tasks based on office needs.
Administrative Support
  • Prepare and distribute event-related materials
  • Print, assemble, and organize meeting materials, including: agendas, minutes and financial reports
  • Compile and finalize minutes for affiliate and other alumni group meetings
  • Answer phones, take messages and transfer calls
  • Assist with Annual Giving solicitations and projects as needed
Event Planning & Coordination
  • Assist with event planning and logistics
  • Research and contact potential event venues
Communications
  • Assist with event and fundraising promotions and outreach through social media, phone calls, emails, and text messages.
Event Execution
  • Support on-site event operations, including event check-in, crowd control, general event execution support.
Post-Event Support
  • Assist with post-event communications
  • Draft and distribute post-event surveys
  • Help with follow-up communications to attendee
Qualifications:
Required:
  • Must be a currently enrolled University of Toledo student
  • Must have reliable transportation to the Center for Alumni and Donor Engagement
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Professional demeanor when interacting with alumni and campus partners
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends for events
Preferred:
  • Experience with events, customer service, or office administration
  • Familiarity with social media platforms
