Job description

๐ŸŒฟ We're Hiring: Operations Assistant | Urban Organics | Bay Area

Urban Organics is a boutique luxury catering and event production company based in downtown Lafayette, CA. We create beautifully layered, detail-driven experiences for corporate clients, private events, and branded activations โ€” with most of our events taking place across San Francisco and the greater Bay Area. We're looking for a sharp, organized, hands-on Operations Assistant to grow with us.

This is not a desk job. You'll be in the field, in the warehouse, and behind the scenes of some of the Bay Area's most beautiful events โ€” making sure everything runs exactly as it should.

โ€”

๐Ÿ“ Office: Downtown Lafayette, CA | Events throughout San Francisco & the Bay Area

๐Ÿ“… Employment: Full-time, 30+ hours/week | Evenings & weekends required

๐Ÿ’ฐ Pay: $27โ€“$30/hr DOE + mileage reimbursement or company vehicle with gas card

โœจ Benefits: Health & wellness plan eligibility | Daily family meal | Mileage reimbursement or company vehicle with gas card

๐ŸŽ Paid Closures: We close for major holidays โ€” including Fourth of July, the full week of Thanksgiving, and two weeks over Christmas and New Year's. We believe rest is part of doing great work.

โ€”

What you'll do:

โ†’ Support event load-ins and load-outs โ€” organizing, packing, transporting, and returning equipment and supplies with care and accuracy

โ†’ Manage the operational side of event prep: labeling, staging, inventory tracking, and gear condition reports

โ†’ Drive company vehicles to and from events and the warehouse โ€” safely and on time

โ†’ Assist on-site during events: setup support, BOH coordination, and run-of-show logistics

โ†’ Keep our warehouse and operations systems clean, organized, and running efficiently

โ†’ Support the Event Manager and Operations Manager with day-to-day logistics

โ†’ Occasionally assist with finishing details โ€” light styling, client gifts, polished presentation touches

โ€”

You're the right fit if you:

โœ” Live in the East Bay and are comfortable driving to events in SF and throughout the Bay Area

โœ” Have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record

โœ” Are physically able to lift and move event items (up to ~50 lbs) regularly

โœ” Thrive in fast-moving environments and take pride in the details

โœ” Are calm under pressure and professional in client-facing moments

โœ” Have experience in catering, hospitality, events, or logistics โ€” or a clear aptitude for it

โœ” Are available for regular evenings and weekends

โ€”

Why Urban Organics?

We're a small, intentional team that does beautiful work and takes care of each other. You'll gain real operational experience inside a growing luxury hospitality brand, work alongside a talented culinary and events team, and be part of something with genuine craft behind it.

We value people who show up with energy, care about the details, and want to grow.

โ€”

๐Ÿ“ฉ To apply: Send a brief note and your resume to events@urbanorganicssf.com

Subject line: Operations Assistant โ€” [Your Name]

In your note, include:

โ€ข Confirmation that you can lift ~50 lbs regularly

We look forward to hearing from you. ๐ŸŒฟ
