We are seeking a Small Business Event Planner.
This is a Telework role with extensive domestic travel required.
Principal Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Plan, organize, and execute specialized events that identify and match needs of US Air Force and Department of Defense customer organizations with innovative and relevant technology solutions developed by SBIR/STTR companies.
  • Develop and employ highly tailored procedures and instructional guidance to communicate effectively with a wide range of Air Force and Department of Defense mission support customers to include acquisition, research, test, and sustainment organizations, as well as Major Defense Contractors and subcontractors to conduct these events.
  • Support processes for further investigation of technology transition candidates resulting from the events mentioned above as candidates for potential integration and deployment in Air Force and defense related programs, systems, and applications.
  • Provide event support to design thinking workshops, crowdsourcing, collaboration showcase event and innovative contracting events that cast a wide net for industry and academic innovators to apply their latest technologies and solutions to government problems and accelerate the path from idea to a deployed solution.
  • Support weekly virtual events, meetings, and webinars via ZoomGov and Hop In platform.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a Business or Communications related field or at least 10 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
  • Five (5) years of first-hand experience planning, organizing, and executing large (300+ attendees) events to include conferences, conventions, symposiums, meetings, and training sessions, etc.
  • Possess at least five (5) years of experience directly supporting Air Force or DoD small business organizations.

Security Clearance:
  • Must hold an active Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET personnel security clearance.
