Location: Newark, NY
Contract Type: Travel
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights - 36 hrs/week (mix of 8-hr and 12-hr shifts)
Pay: $2,347.20/week
Completion Bonus: $2,500 per contract (up to $7,500 after three contracts)
Job Description
ATC Healthcare is seeking an experienced RN House Supervisor for a 13-week travel assignment overseeing off-shift operations in a large multi-unit patient care facility. The House Supervisor serves as the clinical and operational resource for staff, supports patient flow, coordinates staffing, and leads response to clinical and safety events during evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. This role requires strong leadership, charge-level experience, and Epic charting proficiency. First-time travelers are accepted, but local candidates are not eligible.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide off-shift clinical and operational supervision across multiple units
  • Serve as a leadership resource for clinical problem-solving and escalation
  • Coordinate staffing and centralized scheduling needs
  • Facilitate patient flow and bed placement decisions
  • Mentor and coach nursing staff on performance and standards of care
  • Respond to and manage clinical emergencies and code events
  • Oversee incident reporting, risk events, and sentinel event processes
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and infection control standards
  • Support new admissions and inter-unit transfers
  • Supervise nursing care delivery across the organization
  • Document and manage events and operations in Epic

Qualifications
  • Active New York RN license required
  • Minimum 2 years RN experience required
  • Prior charge or supervisory experience required
  • House Supervisor or leadership experience preferred
  • Skilled nursing, rehab, or long-term care leadership experience preferred
  • Epic charting experience required
  • BLS certification required
  • Experience with staffing coordination and productivity standards required
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards required
  • Must meet 75-mile travel radius requirement
