Job description

ZAK Events is seeking a motivated individual to join our team and assist in designing and planning various special events for our clients. The Event Manager position requires you to create event proposals from concept to completion on a daily basis. Additional requirements include working with various vendors, obtaining quotes/estimates from vendors, researching new suppliers, working directly with clients and providing a high level of quality service. This position requires a strong knowledge of Microsoft Powerpoint, Excel and Outlook. The ideal candidate is able to multi-task and have a fascination with the creative arts/event design industry. Must have an outgoing personality and convey a professional attitude with a variety of clientele.

Partial List of Responsibilities:

  • Work with the creative department on corporate branding concepts and logo applications on a variety of media
  • Work with the Creative Department to conceptualize various special event themes and styles, including experiential event concepts and ideas
  • Obtain and organize vendor quotes/estimates
  • Create client proposals, estimates and invoices
  • Attend site visits and onsite meetings in the NYC area

Requirements:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office is REQUIRED.
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience in a professional event planning role is required.
  • MUST be a team player and be able to work with a talented group of creative professionals
  • MUST have valid drivers license (Photo ID required)
  • This position is based at our office in Oakland, New Jersey (Mon-Fri, 10:00am-5:00pm). No public transportation is available.
  • National and International travel is required from time to time
