As an Evaluator, you will conduct comprehensive screenings, assessments, and evaluations for individuals of all ages seeking behavioral health services. You will assess client needs, determine program eligibility and appropriateness, develop treatment recommendations, establish provisional diagnoses, and connect individuals with the services and resources that best meet their needs.
This role provides the opportunity to work collaboratively with clinical teams, community partners, clients, and families while supporting access to timely, appropriate, and person-centered care. Evaluators may also provide safety planning, brief therapeutic interventions, crisis support, and follow-up services as needed.

- Determine client eligibility, service needs, and appropriateness for available programs.
- Gather and evaluate clinical, psychosocial, demographic, and other relevant information as part of the assessment process.

- Maintain knowledge of available organizational programs, admission criteria, referral processes, and service requirements.
- Maintain current knowledge of community resources and services available outside of the organization.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and clinically appropriate documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Complete required documentation and data collection activities within established timeframes.
- Meet department-specific Collaborative Service Goals (CSGs), including established direct client care and productivity expectations.
- Proactively coordinate services and follow-up to reduce missed appointments and unnecessary cancellations.
- Participate in peer review staffing, clinical meetings, case consultations, staff development, and other required meetings.
- Monitor and comply with Quality Assurance, Compliance, Revenue Cycle, and clinical documentation requirements.
- Report critical incidents and staff responses to appropriate supervising leadership in accordance with organizational procedures.
- Provide education and information through community presentations and public forums to promote mental health awareness and appropriate community response.
- Support organizational initiatives involving data collection, program evaluation, grant applications, and other management needs.
- Complete all required training, professional development, and performance evaluations.
- Practice in accordance with organizational operational guidelines, professional standards, ethical requirements, and applicable regulations.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by department leadership.
- Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related behavioral health field from an accredited institution required.
- Previous experience conducting behavioral health assessments, screenings, or evaluations preferred.
- Experience working with individuals across diverse age groups and presenting behavioral health needs preferred.
- Experience in mental health and/or substance use disorder treatment settings preferred.
- Experience with crisis intervention, safety planning, referrals, and care coordination preferred.
- Experience with Electronic Health Records and clinical documentation preferred.
- Current, unrestricted professional licensure required based on the state of employment and applicable area of practice.
- Licensure may include applicable clinical behavioral health credentials such as:
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- Other equivalent professional licenses as permitted by applicable state regulations.
- Must maintain all required professional licenses and certifications throughout employment.
- Must provide documentation of applicable licenses and credentials.
- Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and current automobile insurance required.
- Strong knowledge of behavioral health assessment, screening, and treatment planning practices.
- Knowledge of mental health and/or substance use disorders and related treatment resources.
- Ability to identify client needs and determine appropriate levels of care and referral options.
- Strong understanding of professional ethics, clinical standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
