Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a SAP S/4 HANA Test Lead based in Netherlands.

This role offers the opportunity to lead the testing strategy for a large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation across multiple European business units.
You will take ownership of the complete testing lifecycle, ensuring quality, readiness, and successful delivery of a critical ERP programme.
The position combines strategic leadership, hands-on SAP expertise, and collaboration with international stakeholders.
You will work closely with business teams, technical experts, and external partners to drive effective testing practices and governance.
Your expertise in SAP Cloud ALM and Tricentis will help ensure reliable, scalable, and auditable testing outcomes.
This is an impactful opportunity for an experienced SAP testing professional who enjoys managing complex programmes in a global environment.

Accountabilities:

The SAP S/4HANA Test Lead will be responsible for defining and executing the end-to-end testing approach for a major ERP transformation. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to coordinate multiple teams while ensuring testing quality, governance, and business readiness.

  • Define and implement the overall testing strategy for an SAP S/4HANA transformation programme.
  • Lead all testing phases, including unit testing, system testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and regression testing.
  • Plan and coordinate test environments, test data preparation, and testing readiness activities.
  • Manage cross-functional testing teams, including internal resources and external partners.
  • Create and maintain test plans, test scripts, traceability matrices, testing governance documentation, and reporting frameworks.
  • Monitor testing progress, risks, defects, and resolution activities while providing clear updates to programme leadership.
  • Drive collaboration between business stakeholders, technical teams, SAP specialists, and delivery partners.
  • Own SAP Cloud ALM (CALM) usage for test planning, execution, defect management, reporting, and requirement traceability.
  • Manage the integration of Tricentis TTA with SAP Cloud ALM to support automated testing, alignment, and auditability.
  • Promote knowledge sharing and capability development around SAP testing tools and best practices.
  • Support continuous improvement of testing processes throughout the transformation lifecycle.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced SAP testing professional with a strong background in large-scale ERP transformations and the ability to manage complex international programmes. You should combine deep SAP knowledge with excellent stakeholder management and leadership capabilities.

  • Extensive experience leading testing programmes within complex SAP environments.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and cross-functional business process integrations.
  • Proven experience delivering large-scale ERP testing programmes across multiple workstreams.
  • Hands-on expertise with SAP Cloud ALM (CALM), including configuration, test management, defect management, and reporting.
  • Experience managing complete testing lifecycles from strategy definition through go-live validation.
  • Demonstrated experience integrating Tricentis TTA with SAP Cloud ALM.
  • Strong understanding of automated testing execution, defect synchronization, requirement-to-test traceability, and test coverage reporting.
  • Experience working with SAP transformation or upgrade programmes is highly valued.
  • Experience operating in multinational or multi-country SAP environments is preferred.
  • Knowledge of SAP Cloud ALM dashboards, scope management, and testing governance practices is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment with regular European travel.
  • Unrestricted right to work within the EU and ability to travel across European countries.
Benefits:
  • Predominantly remote working arrangement with occasional European travel.
  • Opportunity to lead testing activities within a major SAP S/4HANA transformation programme.
  • Competitive salary package.
  • Comprehensive benefits package.
  • Strong pension contribution.
  • Health and wellness programmes.
  • Opportunity to collaborate with international teams and business units.
  • Professional development and career growth opportunities within a global organization.
  • Exposure to advanced SAP Cloud ALM and Tricentis testing technologies.
