Co-Op

A successful Co-Op will gain hands-on experience in estimating projects and developing scopes of work, collaborate directly with vendors to procure materials and equipment, and support Account Managers, Project Engineers, Estimators, and Superintendents in meeting job site and customer needs. As Co-Ops grow in experience, they will have the opportunity to contribute to projects from initial planning through construction and final closeout. From day one, Co-Ops are integrated into the team and provided with the training essential to delivering successful projects. Lehman Daman is committed to supporting the Co-Op's continued education and professional development within the construction industry while helping build a strong foundation for long-term career opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Work hand in hand with their Account Managers, Project Engineers, and Estimators.
  • Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors from bid process to job completion.
  • Attend pre bid meetings and job site walkthroughs.
  • Travel between job sites, vendor locations, and home office as needed.
  • Track and review shop drawings and other job correspondence.
  • Project planning and implementation of activities and milestones.
  • Document management (safety, submittals, logs, RFI's, transmittals, minutes).

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrates self-motivation, effective time management, and the ability to collaborate well with others
  • Demonstrates the ability to contribute as part of a team while also working independently
  • Proficient in using computers and smartphones
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to communicate effectively across a diverse group including Managers, Field Staff, Subcontractors, and Customers
  • Maintains a positive attitude and a strong willingness to learn
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited co-op program, pursuing a degree in an engineering discipline such as Construction Management, Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering
