Job description

The Gierach Law Firm is looking to add an Estate Planning Attorney to our growing Naperville office. The ideal candidate will be empathetic, communicative, and highly detailed in their work and will play a crucial role in helping clients secure their legacies and ensure their wishes are honored.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and finalize estate planning documents. To include wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance healthcare directives.
  • Advise clients on tax implications, strategies for asset protection, and other legal considerations related to estate planning.
  • Assist clients with probate and trust administration processes.
  • Handle a diverse caseload and be available for any client needs.
  • Stay up to date on changes in federal and state estate planning laws and regulations to provide timely and effective counsel.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Maintaining exceptional professionalism and confidentiality in all communications.
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate client needs.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with legal practice management software such as Smokeball.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in estate planning and probate law.
  • A portable book of business or trusted client base preferred.
  • Bar admitted and able to practice law in the State of Illinois.
