Business Development Officer (BDO)

Location: Las Vegas: 2270 Corporate Circle, Suite 220, Henderson, NV 89074–Reno: 5474 Longley Ln., Reno, NV 89511

Schedule: Hybrid, minimum 4 days per week in office.

Role Type: Full time

Summary

The Business Development Officer (BDO) reflects the company’s vision of building success through relationships. The BDO ensures a positive and service-oriented experience for clients, their referring parties, and Premier’s business partners. This role serves as a key liaison between Business Development, Onboarding, Trust Administration, and other operational areas to ensure effective communication, accurate information, and smooth business processes.

Responsibilities
  • Establish, grow, and maintain effective relationships with potential clients, referral sources, financial professionals, and attorneys.
  • Represent the company at business development and industry events to enhance the company’s image and generate additional business.
  • Track pending items, maintain communication with clients and business partners, and follow up with onboarding staff to ensure timely completion of onboarding requirements.
  • Act as a key client contact throughout onboarding to ensure a seamless transition and serve as a point of escalation for exceptions.
  • Ensure the business development/sales process runs efficiently and recommend process optimizations.
  • Create and deliver presentations on trust services to groups ranging from 2–200 participants.
  • Coordinate with team members to ensure accurate communication of timelines in marketing materials and presentations.
  • Prepare material, content, and scripts for client, referral, and internal new‑hire training and education.
  • Participate in company meetings and provide updates to management and Premier Trust teams.
  • Enter and maintain Salesforce business development data and generate reports on new business, production, and related metrics.
  • Recommend workflow and process improvements on an ongoing basis.
  • Manage staff as directed by the Director of Business Development or as designated.
  • Develop and train staff according to Premier Trust and Osaic guidelines.
  • Model corporate values and encourage others to do the same.
  • Edit marketing collateral and coordinate communication with prospects and partners.
  • Assist in planning and organizing conferences and events, including presentation preparation, materials, shipping, and reservations.
  • Maintain business development materials and contribute to corporate collateral.
  • Prepare requested reports and handle ad‑hoc projects to support company goals.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all records and data.
  • Comply with all applicable company policies, state laws, regulations, and BSA/AML/OFAC/USA PATRIOT Act requirements.
  • Report potential suspicious activity and elder abuse to the BSA/Compliance Officer.
  • Participate in required annual BSA/AML/OFAC and Compliance Training and Education.
  • Perform all duties safely, following OSHA Act and occupational safety standards.
  • Work independently and in a team environment.
Education and Experience

Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent combined with significant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Required Experience: 2–3+ years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Basic Requirements
  • Advanced computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Typing skills to meet production needs.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures.
  • Advanced knowledge of general office practices.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Advanced math skills, including calculation of interest, balances, rates, ratios, and percentages.
  • Advanced oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions, interpret documents, write reports and correspondence, and speak clearly to customers and employees.
  • Advanced organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Ability to work without general supervision while performing duties.
  • Ability to write effective forms of communication.

  • Experience in trust administration, financial industry, or estate planning.
