ESPN LA Marketing Consultant (Account Executive)

(Los Angeles, CA)

ESPN LA is looking for our next high-performing Marketing Consultant to join one of the most unique sports marketing platforms in Los Angeles. As the radio home of some of LA’s most iconic teams and surrounded by nationally recognized ESPN talent and content, ESPN LA gives our Local Brands team the opportunity to connect businesses with passionate sports fans through compelling audio solutions, including live shows, original programming, on-air personalities and locally focused audio partnerships.

We’re looking for an experienced sales professional who is passionate about helping businesses grow, building meaningful relationships, and creating customized marketing solutions in one of the most dynamic sports markets in the country.

As an ESPN LA Marketing Consultant, you’ll serve as a trusted marketing partner to local and regional businesses. You’ll first understand each partner’s goals and objectives, then develop customized solutions that leverage the power and reach of the ESPN LA brand. From marquee personalities and iconic teams to original programming, promotional features, sponsorships and signature station events, you’ll have access to a distinctive collection of ESPN LA audio and local brand assets to help businesses grow.

 Career responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Identify, uncover, and develop account opportunities
  • Develop relationships with area and regional businesses and decision makers
  • Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of the complete portfolio of ESPN LA’s assets and create successful, customized marketing solutions
  • Stay current on audio, media, and emerging industry trends
  • Network with local businesses to expand your sphere of influence in the market
  • Uncover partner marketing objectives and challenges and create customized solutions at all organizational levels, including the C-suite
  • Be proactive in creating and finding solutions to daily challenges throughout the office and GKB
  • Integrate AI tools into daily workflows to improve new business outreach, partner research, campaign development, communication, and sales effectiveness while maintaining a high level of personalization and partner interaction
  • Other assigned tasks

Preferred knowledge, skills and qualifications:

  • 3-5 years previous sales experience and a passion for sales and service
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Strong network and relationships within the LA community
  • Goal-oriented and creative self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Personal sense of responsibility and accountability
  • Passion to be a part of a team and the ability to work independently
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment - a multi-tasker
  • Willingness to accept and provide feedback
  • With this career, you are required to hold a valid driver’s license

Pay Transparency

The anticipated salary range for this California-based position is $75,000 - $150,000 (base) plus commission/bonus. The salary rate is to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity.

This role is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance; life insurance; short- and long-term disability; 401(k); dependent care benefits; paid parental leave; and additional benefits. This position requires occasional evening and weekend work for events and games.
