Pay Rate: $ 27 To $ 30 Per Hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1 hour per day within 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM EST

Experience: ESL teaching, American Sign Language, deaf education, or special education experience preferred

About the Role

We are seeking an ESL Teacher for a hybrid contract opportunity in Knoxville, Tennessee. This role supports deaf and hard of hearing students who have a foundation in a written or spoken language other than English. The ESL Teacher will develop individualized learning plans, adapt instructional materials, and use appropriate strategies to help students participate fully in lessons and school activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide ESL instruction for deaf and hard of hearing students

• Develop individual learning plans, lesson plans, and adapted instructional materials

• Support students with English language development based on their learning needs

• Use American Sign Language and accessible teaching strategies during instruction

• Collaborate with school staff to support student participation and progress

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree Or Higher Required

• Valid Tennessee Teaching License With ESL Endorsement Required
