Job Description
Cornerstone Building Brands has an opportunity for a District Sales Manager to support and grow our Metallic Building Systems brand in Wisconsin, Illinois, and Michigan's upper peninsula. This role requires a sales professional with experience in building materials who thrives on relationship-building, territory growth, and fast-paced customer engagement.
This is a highly visible territory with strong brand recognition, established customer relationships, and significant opportunity to expand share of wallet and drive new business growth.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Own & Grow Your Territory: Manage an established territory while identifying opportunities to expand customer relationships and increase market share
  • Develop Customer Relationships: Work closely with builders, direct sale opportunities, and new clients to support their business needs
  • Drive Sales Growth: Balance maintaining current business with proactive prospecting and new opportunity development
  • Sell Industry-Leading Building Systems: Represent metal building systems across commercial, industrial, and agricultural markets
  • Support Product & Software Training: Conduct customer education and contractor training programs
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Works effectively and collaboratively with all Cornerstone Building Brands internal departments to ensure customer experience is optimized and efficient
  • Provide Responsive Customer Support: Manage a high volume of customer interactions and transactions in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications
  • Experience with pre-engineered metal buildings is a must
  • Experience with estimating, inside sales, engineering, or project management valued
  • Strong relationship-building skills with a commitment to consistent customer follow-up
  • Self-starter with the ability to prioritize, manage multiple opportunities, and work independently
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, customer-focused sales environment
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to meet with customers regularly throughout the territory
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred
  • Strong computer proficiency, including experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to learn and adapt to multiple proprietary systems and technologies

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Frequent travel throughout the assigned territory (averaging 50-70%)
  • Occasional lifting of product samples and materials may be required
