The ESG & Regulatory Reporting Analyst is entrusted with advancing the organization's environmental, social, and governance (ESG) and regulatory compliance goals by meticulously collecting, analyzing, and reporting data to satisfy both regulatory requirements and stakeholder expectations. This role is integral to the company's compliance strategy, ensuring strict adherence to evolving ESG standards, laws, and regulations across jurisdictions. The analyst will also participate in the development and documentation of the company's internal regulatory compliance procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect, validate, and analyze ESG-related data from internal and external sources to support regulatory filings, investor communications, and sustainability reporting.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory reports in accordance with relevant ESG frameworks.
  • Monitor regulatory developments, emerging ESG requirements, and legislative changes to ensure the company remains fully compliant. Provide timely updates and recommendations for adapting reporting processes and policies to new or amended regulations.
  • Conduct gap assessments of the Company's compliance programs and audits of ESG reporting processes, identifying deficiencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement, and collaborating with stakeholders to implement corrective actions.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on regulatory compliance, advising cross-functional teams-including Legal, Compliance, Operations, Corporate Communications, and Risk Management-on the implications of new regulations and standards.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of internal controls, data governance frameworks, and documentation standards to strengthen regulatory compliance and ESG-related reporting.
  • Document said internal controls and data governance frameworks.
  • Support internal audits and reviews of ESG data, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency across all reporting channels, and proactively preparing for external audits or regulatory inspections.
  • Maintain comprehensive records and documentation of regulatory compliance activities, including [audit trails], regulatory correspondence, and submission archives.
  • Provide analysis and insights on ESG performance and regulatory trends to inform business strategy, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Business, Finance, Data Analytics, Compliance or a related field. A Juris doctorate will also qualify. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., GRI, SASB, compliance certifications) are desirable.
  • 2+ years of experience in ESG, sustainability reporting, regulatory compliance, or a related analytical role, with demonstrable experience in interpreting and applying ESG regulations and standards.
  • Strong knowledge of ESG frameworks, regulatory requirements, and compliance best practices at local, national, and international levels.
  • Proficient in data analysis, data management, and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Smartsheet, SnagIt, or similar platforms), with experience implementing regulatory compliance controls.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into clear documentation for diverse business audiences.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and project management abilities focused on compliance objectives.
  • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally in a fast-paced, regulatory-driven environment.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with ESG data platforms, regulatory reporting software, and compliance management tools.
  • Familiarity with pertinent ESG regulations, compliance audits, and reporting best practices.
  • Analytical mindset with experience in data visualization, regulatory gap analysis, and interpretation of legal standards.

Working Conditions:
This position is office-based in Beloit, WI. Occasional travel may be required for stakeholder meetings, training sessions, audits, conferences, or regulatory engagements.
