Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Materials Coordinator to support our fast-paced electronics manufacturing operations. This role is essential to ensuring the accurate handling, packaging, and movement of sensitive electronic components and finished goods. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics, particularly with FEDEX and UPS systems, and a solid understanding of inventory control in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Shipping & Logistics:
  • Package and ship domestic and international orders, ensuring proper handling of electrostatic-sensitive devices (ESD).
  • Perform dimensional and weight analysis; provide rate quotes to the sales team.
  • Process shipments using automated carrier systems (FEDEX, UPS, DHL).
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders and logistics partners for timely pickups.
  • Resolve export documentation issues in collaboration with sales, customers, and carriers.
  • Audit outgoing kits and assemblies for accuracy and completeness before shipment.

Receiving & Inventory Management:
  • Receive incoming materials from suppliers and internal manufacturing departments.
  • Accurately log and label components, ensuring traceability and compliance with quality standards.
  • Retrieve materials per work orders and deliver kits to the production floor.
  • Identify and report material shortages or discrepancies.
  • Replenish floor stock and maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Conduct cycle counts, reconcile variances, and perform inventory adjustments.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and ESD-compliant stockroom environment.

Internal & Customer Support:
  • Fulfill internal stock requisitions and support production and engineering teams.
  • Provide timely updates on shipment status and inventory availability.
  • Assist with other operational support tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in shipping/receiving, preferably in electronics or high-tech manufacturing.
  • Proficiency with FEDEX, UPS, and DHL shipping systems.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Basic computer skills (e.g., data entry, inventory systems, shipping software).
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs to shoulder height.
  • Familiarity with ESD handling procedures and inventory control systems is a plus.
Additional Requirements:
  • Must follow all company policies and procedures, including safety and quality standards.
  • Flexibility to support various tasks within the shipping, receiving, and warehousing functions.
