Job description

About the Employer
Family F.O.C.U.S. is a local non-profit, state-funded, Early Childhood Education program that strives to offer quality care to children and families in Tulare and Kings County. The FOCUS in Family F.O.C.U.S. is an acronym. The F stands for Fundamental, O for Opportunities, C for Children's, U for Unlimited, and S for Success. We believe that with equal opportunity for education, students gain equal opportunity for success. At each of our centers, Family F.O.C.U.S. offers subsidized (free or reduced cost) child care to families who meet the requirements set forth by the state of California. Children are among the most vulnerable of any community, and families often must find employment outside of the home, thus requiring them to seek childcare. Family F.O.C.U.S. aims to fill that gap in the lives of qualified families by offering them quality care for their children.
Job Summary
The Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS) & Environment Rating Scale (ERS) Coach works under the supervision of the Program Director and in collaboration with the Coaching and Training Specialist to design, implement, evaluate, and enforce a culturally and developmentally age-appropriate program using CLASS and Environment Rating Scales programs for all children six weeks through 6 years at Family F.OC.U.S. Provide leadership and exceptional training and support services; identifying staff development needs and develop appropriate staff trainings using transdisciplinary care and case coordination protocols that integrate service areas to address identified concerns in coordination with Coaching & Training Specialist and Program Directors.
CLASS allows Family F.O.C.U.S. to measure, improve, and expand on the proven power of interactions with the children, families, and communities we serve. The CLASS coach will use data to create tailored professional development and coaching opportunities that help teachers improve their teaching practices. Leverage reports to identify needs and provide learning opportunities by utilizing Teachstone materials, build coaching capacity to drive improvements, and offer unique professional development opportunities.
