The Opportunity:
Texas Speed & Performance (TSP) is seeking a Director of Product & Marketing to play a key leadership role in driving the company's next phase of growth. This opportunity requires a unique blend of deep enthusiast market knowledge, strong analytical capability, and commercial business acumen. The Director will lead product strategy, merchandising, brand positioning, and performance marketing initiatives to accelerate revenue growth and expand market share. Candidate will be responsible for:
  • The Director will lead product strategy (in-house brand and third-party products), merchandising, brand positioning, and performance marketing initiatives to accelerate revenue growth, expand market share, and strengthen TSP's leadership within the high-performance automotive aftermarket.
  • Identifying, developing, and launching complementary third-party products and brands that enhance our in-house portfolio and deliver a compelling, complete solution for our enthusiast customers
  • Owning and optimizing the online product catalog and digital merchandising strategy; creating and executing a roadmap that delivers a best-in-class catalog structure, product presentation, and customer experience.
  • Delivering financial performance across revenue, gross margin, and expense management, consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Partnering closely with EAH's Chief Marketing Officer to ensure TSP's value proposition is clearly communicated and reinforced through product strategy, site merchandising, and go-to-market execution.
  • Developing and executing scalable growth strategies for TSP's in-house brand, driving meaningful brand differentiation, sustained revenue growth, and margin expansion.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Strategy: Set strategic direction for TSP that aligns with its value proposition & mission. Deliver on the strategic vision via flawless execution and cross-functional collaboration.
  2. Budgeting & KPIs: Create an annual, quarterly, and monthly budget for TSP. Responsible for delivering on weekly, monthly, quarterly goals for Revenue, Gross Profit $, and Gross Margin %
  3. New Product Development:
    1. Develop and execute growth strategies for TSP In-house brand (IHB) driving brand differentiation, revenue growth, and margin expansion.
    2. Set the product roadmap and priorities for product development, work in partnership with R&D to ensure that we are improving time-to-market while balancing revenue and margin potential.
    3. Consistently launch exciting new products with innovative design, unique features, and market-leading quality.
    4. Continuously evaluate and enhance processes, products, and services to maintain a competitive edge without compromising on quality.
    5. Define, facilitate, and manage the product lifecycle for all house brand products.
  4. Web Catalog Curation: Lead efforts on website to develop a curated product catalog (in-house brand and third party) that aligns closely with the needs of the enthusiast in the domestic market. Deliver a best-in-class shopping experience through search, browse, cross-sells and up-sells online and through phone sales.
  5. Web Catalog Updates: Ensure timely updates to the catalog that keeps pricing, photos, descriptions up to date and accurate, pairing exciting replacement and performance products with SEO rich copy to enhance TSP's organic SEO rankings.
  6. Inventory Management: Work closely with the S&P team to forecast and ensure we keep the right level of product in-stock to serve projected demand while weighing the inventory carrying cost. Work closely with S&P to negotiate COGS, Co-Op, and other marketing programs.
  7. Marketing Strategy: Work closely with the Marketing team to create inspiring go-to market strategies for new products, creating compelling emails and social media campaigns targeted at our customers.
  8. Vendor Relationships & Strategic Partnerships: Responsible for vendor relationships, building a strategic roadmap in partnership with them on both new and existing products, creating win-win partnerships, and responding to vendors in a timely manner. Candidate will partner with EAH Director of Supplier Management to develop Marketing Co-op and COGs savings.
  9. Brand Integrity: Maintain company brand integrity across all product lines, advertising and all other internal and external communications as it pertains to the respective brands. Facilitate the resolution of any quality issues with the website or products listed on the site.
  10. Competitive & Strategic Pricing: Responsible for co-owing the pricing strategy that enables us to compete in the marketplace but also helps deliver on Gross Margin Rate and Gross Profit Dollar planned targets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or other relevant formal education
  • 8-10 years of progressive responsibility leading a team to accomplish projects in a fast-paced environment.
