Job description

Corteva Agriscience is looking for an ERP Commercial Solution Engineer (SE) to be part of the Integrated Enterprise Solutions team. The ideal candidate will have recent experience conceptualizing, designing, implementing, and supporting SAP Commercial solutions across Order-to-Cash (OTC), Sales, Pricing, aATP, Billing, Trade Compliance, and related Commercial processes.
The SE will be responsible for engineering, configuring, testing, and maintaining SAP S/4HANA and surrounding Commercial solutions throughout the application lifecycle. The role requires strong knowledge of business processes within Sales and Distribution, Pricing, Customer Management, Commercial Analytics, and related non-SAP applications supporting Commercial operations.
This position defines and drives the strategy for Commercial capabilities within the ERP platform and will be responsible for discovering, validating, and translating business requirements into scalable SAP and non-SAP solutions. It involves evaluating business processes, industry trends, and technology capabilities to develop future-state solutions that support Corteva's Commercial roadmap and global ERP strategy.
The SE must be able to bridge the IT and business domains and effectively communicate with Business Process Experts, Solution Architects, Configurators, Developers, and Business Stakeholders. The SE will develop a strong understanding of Corteva's commercial business strategy and processes and help define and execute the overall ERP Commercial Product Roadmap.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into ERP solution designs.
  • Design end-to-end solutions leveraging ERP modules such as SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW/4HANA, SAP GTS, etc.
  • Ensure alignment with industry best practices and company standards.
  • Configure SAP systems based on design specifications, including customizing standard SAP functionalities.
  • Develop and implement enhancements, extensions, and custom solutions as needed.
  • Conduct thorough testing to ensure the quality and reliability of SAP configurations and developments.
  • Integrate SAP solutions with other enterprise systems such as eCommerce, SAP GTS, Third Party applications, etc.
  • Collaborate with integration teams to design and implement interfaces, data mappings, and middleware solutions.
  • Ensure data consistency and integrity across integrated systems.
  • Provide ongoing support for SAP systems, including troubleshooting, issue resolution, and performance tuning.
  • Monitor system health and performance, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Apply patches, upgrades, and enhancements to SAP systems as needed.
  • Document solution designs, configurations, and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and future reference.
  • Provide training and knowledge transfer to end-users and support teams on SAP functionalities and processes.
  • Stay updated on SAP technologies, releases, and best practices.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to optimize existing processes and enhance system capabilities.
  • Participate in projects to upgrade or migrate SAP systems to newer versions or cloud platforms.

Qualifications
Position Requirements
  • Prior domain or functional experience supporting Commercial business processes in large global organizations.
  • Strong understanding of Order-to-Cash processes including Sales Order Management, Pricing, Billing, Customer Master Data, and Customer Service operations.
  • Experience designing solutions supporting aATP, DRC, Vistex, Sales Pricing, Rebates, Commercial Reporting, and related Commercial capabilities.
  • Ability to research business requirements, evaluate alternative solution approaches, and recommend scalable SAP and non-SAP solutions.
  • Ability to perform fit-gap analysis, estimate effort, and identify process and technology improvement opportunities.
  • Strong understanding of SAP integration patterns, APIs, middleware platforms, and integration between SAP and external applications.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced project environment with multiple priorities and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness working independently and driving results across business and technical teams.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management capabilities.
  • Ability to recognize risks, dependencies, and escalation points while driving solution quality and delivery.
  • Experience working with implementation partners, managed service providers, and third-party vendors preferred.

Experience and Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of SAP implementation, solution engineering, or support experience.
  • Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA Commercial capabilities.
  • Experience in at least several of the following areas:
    • aATP
    • DRC
    • Vistex
    • Sales and Distribution
    • Pricing and Rebates
    • Billing and Invoicing
    • Commercial Reporting
    • Customer Master Data Management
    • SAP GTS
  • Experience supporting global ERP programs across multiple geographies and business units.
  • Experience with SAP BTP, Fiori/UI5, BW/4HANA, APIs, Integration Platforms, and ABAP development is preferred.
  • SAP Certifications is a plus.
