Hagar Enterprises is a paving and excavation contractor in Damariscotta, Maine specializing in all phases of site work, utility installation and road construction since 1987.

Heavy Equipment Operator

Hagar is hiring a Heavy Equipment Operator to join a well-oiled operation and must be able to jump into our fast-paced environment and handle a variety of challenges on any given job site. We are proud to use modern and well-maintained equipment.

Responsibilities:


  • Operate a front-end loader, excavator, earth roller, dozeretc.

  • Perform general equipment maintenance and repairs.

  • Perform daily preventative maintenance and safety checks.

  • Fuel Equipment.

  • Assist with non-equipment operator duties such as installing pipe, compacting aggregate etc.

  • Use of various power and hand tools; including cutting tools.

  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • One year of experience working with excavation heavy equipment

  • A valid Maine Class C or Higher License

  • Ability to pass a drug screening (not including Marijuana)and pre-employment physical.

  • Ability to lift excess of fifty pounds overhead.
