Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN with Trauma 2+ and Epic experience for a night shift assignment requiring an active IL RN license.

Details
  • Emergency Department setting within a hospital environment
  • Night shift schedule from 1:00PM-1:00AM, 3 shifts per week (36 hours/week)
  • Two call shifts required per 6-week schedule period, with expectation to be onsite within one hour of call
  • Mandatory 2-week nights rotation required of all travelers
  • No block scheduling available
  • Every other weekend shift required
  • Holiday coverage required on a rotational basis
  • Uses Epic EMR system
Requirements
  • Active Illinois RN license in good standing required
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association)
  • Minimum three years of relevant nursing experience required
  • ASN required, BSN preferred
  • Trauma Level 2 or higher experience required
  • Epic EMR charting experience required
  • TNCC certification preferred
Additional Information
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to ED patients including assessment, care planning, and implementation of interventions
  • Collaborate with providers, patients, and families to develop and modify individualized care plans
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation
  • Contribute to a safe care environment by identifying and reporting safety hazards
  • Work within a high-risk department classification
  • Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
  • RTO limited to no more than 7 total days during the 13-week contract
  • Not eligible for candidates who have been on assignment at this health system continuously for more than 1 year without a 6-month break in service
