Registered Nurse Requirements
  • Active RN license in hand at time of submission
  • Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience
  • At least 1 year of recent PCU experience required
  • High-acuity Progressive Care Unit experience required
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
  • Experience with telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
  • Ability to float to equivalent or lower-acuity units as needed
  • Experience with Epic preferred
  • Oncology nursing experience preferred, but not required
  • Previous travel nursing experience preferred
Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality nursing care to adult PCU and telemetry patients
  • Monitor and respond to complex patient conditions in a high-acuity oncology environment
  • Manage cardiac drips, heparin protocols, and other advanced nursing interventions as assigned
  • Support patients requiring oxygen therapy, non-invasive airway support, and chest tube management
  • Perform line management, including peripheral IVs, PICC lines, central lines, and ports
  • Administer blood products and support infection prevention and fall-reduction practices
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response resources
  • Float to comparable oncology or med-surg units based on staffing needs
