Job description

We are partnered with a wonderful organization that is seeking a Revenue Cycle / Patient Access Coordinator who will be responsible for managing and supporting Revenue Cycle and Patient Access operations with a strong focus on Epic applications and workflow optimization. This role partners with operational, clinical, and technical teams to ensure efficient scheduling, registration, referral, and revenue cycle processes while supporting Epic implementations, system enhancements, and ongoing operational excellence. The Coordinator serves as a key liaison across departments, helping to drive issue resolution, governance activities, project planning, and continuous process improvement.

Schedule & Travel

  • Duration: 10 months
  • Must be able to work on PST Business Hours
  • Travel is 3 to 6 days per month to San Mateo, CA
  • Pay Rate is up to $95/hour

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support Revenue Cycle and Patient Access initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and operational priorities
  • Provide subject matter expertise in Epic Revenue Cycle and Patient Access applications (including HB, PB, Grand Central, Cadence)
  • Support Epic implementation, optimization, upgrade, and enhancement projects by coordinating activities, tracking milestones, and facilitating communication among stakeholders
  • Collaborate with operational leaders to improve scheduling, registration, referral management, and revenue cycle workflows while identifying opportunities for process improvement
  • Assist with governance activities, issue tracking, prioritization, and resolution across Revenue Cycle initiatives
  • Coordinate cross-functional efforts between Patient Access, Revenue Cycle, Clinical Operations, Information Technology, and executive leadership
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks and barriers, and escalate issues as appropriate to maintain project timelines
  • Support operational readiness activities, including workflow validation, testing coordination, training support, and go-live planning
  • Facilitate meetings, document action items, and ensure timely follow-up on project deliverables
  • Assist in balancing operational support activities with implementation and optimization priorities
  • Promote standardization of workflows, documentation, and best practices across Revenue Cycle functions
  • Track project metrics and prepare reports for leadership to support informed decision-making

Epic Lead Role Requirements

Leadership & Team Management

  • Direct experience leading analysts or application teams, not just participating on projects.
  • Experience with performance management, mentoring, career development, hiring, and succession planning.

Epic Experience

  • Minimum of 2 to 3 full Epic implementations as a consultant
  • Multiple Epic certifications (current or expired) within the applicable area are highly preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership responsibilities versus purely analyst-level work
